The events that occurred during flight class quickly spread throughout Hogwarts.
Ingratitude is something that will be despised no matter where you are.
Not to mention that Argus had helped Gryffindor students on more than one occasion.
He even saved their lives!
This instantly made Gryffindor a laughing stock for everyone.
In the school infirmary.
Harry and Draco, who had both become Seekers, were located at opposite ends of the ward.
However, the two were in completely opposite circumstances.
A dozen or so young wizards, led by Argus, stayed by Draco's bedside, bringing many gifts and blessings.
In contrast, Harry was the only one protecting Ron.
It was completely empty!
They also had to endure the disdain of others from time to time.
The two looked at each other in silence, neither knowing what to say.
Just then, an owl flew in through the window and dropped a red letter onto Ron's bedside table.
Ron's expression changed drastically in an instant.
"Oh, no!"
He reached out and picked up the letter, his hands trembling.
But he still didn't dare to open it!
"Look, Weasley received a Howler!"
A burst of laughter erupted from the crowd, and everyone looked at him with mocking eyes.
"Open it up, Weasley, let us hear what you've done!"
"Yes, maybe Mrs. Molly will give you a big compliment because of the good thing you did!"
"Harry, how about…" Ron swallowed hard and looked at Harry.
Harry wasn't stupid; even if he'd never heard of a Howler, he could tell from the reactions of others.
It was definitely not a good thing!
He quickly shook his head in refusal.
Ron's eyes showed displeasure as he hesitated before reaching for the letter.
With just a light touch of the seal on the Howler, the letter immediately jumped out.
A piercing roar echoed throughout the entire ward!
"Ron Weasley! How dare you do such a thing at school!"
"You disrupt class and steal classmates' things! You're driving me crazy!"
The red envelope and white paper of the Howler together formed the face of a woman who was roaring.
Ron was stunned by the shout, his face filled with fear.
"Professor McGonagall came to talk to me about you personally! I wouldn't be surprised if you were expelled from the school!"
"This is all your fault! If you dare to cause trouble at school again, your father and I will bring you back home immediately!"
"Did you hear me?!"
Ron didn't care whether Mrs. Molly could see him or not, and frantically nodded at the Howler.
After scolding Ron, the Howler turned to look at Harry.
Her tone became incredibly gentle.
"Hello, dear Harry, it's great to see you and Ron become friends."
"You are welcome to visit my humble abode anytime!"
After saying all that, the Howler didn't care how Ron would clean up and tore itself into pieces.
It fell onto the bedside table.
"Hahahaha..."
A burst of laughter erupted from the crowd.
Ron, who had just been ignored, once again became the target of ridicule.
A boy imitated Mrs. Molly's comical angry expression while shouting the letter's lines.
"Ron Weasley! How dare you do such a thing at school!"
"Disrupting class, stealing classmates' things..."
"I know I was wrong, Mom!"
Another boy dressed up as Ron, with a timid and submissive expression.
This made everyone burst into laughter.
Ron's eyes were red with anger, and he turned his head away, trying hard not to look at them.
Harry couldn't bear to see his friend suffer like this, so he ran over to Argus.
"Argus…"
"Harry, were they acting on my orders, or do you want me to plead for someone who has repaid kindness with enmity?"
As soon as Harry arrived, Argus knew what he was about to say.
He sneered inwardly.
Was it because he was usually too mild-mannered at Hogwarts that they treated him like a pushover?
They came to him to plead for them after suffering even the slightest injustice!
I'm your dad!
Why weren't you so proactive when Draco was injured!
"Anyone who does something wrong must pay the price."
"He should have thought of this when he chose to steal my things during flight class!"
"Ron…Ron didn't mean it…"
"Not intentional?" Argus laughed in anger.
If it weren't for the fact that Harry would be needed to play against Dumbledore later, he would have loved to slap him across the face.
Wasn't this a classic case of a saintly, overgrown child?
Whoever was weaker was right!
"You mean, the flying broom under his legs flew to me by itself and then snatched my book away?"
"So you ended up bumping into Draco yourself, right?"
"Argus, Ron already knows he was wrong!"
Upon hearing this, Argus was no longer willing to argue with Harry.
He wasn't Harry's babysitter. All he needed to do was use Dumbledore's attention to Harry to force Dumbledore to give in.
As for the rest, let Dumbledore worry about it!
He turned his head away, refusing to look at Harry even once more!
With a flick of the wand, the knife on the table automatically peeled an apple.
He placed it near Draco's mouth.
"Madam Pomfrey said that the bruises on your body will go away once you apply the ointment."
"Rest tonight, and you can resume normal classes tomorrow."
Draco nodded, his eyes filled with barely suppressed disappointment as he looked at Harry.
Goyle and Crabbe noticed Argus's impatience.
The two stood like gatekeepers, keeping him at a distance and not giving him any chance to get close to Argus.
Pansy sneered sarcastically: "Draco and Argus have been here for so long, and Weasley hasn't even said a word of apology. Is this what you call knowing you're wrong?"
"Get out of here! You're not welcome here!"
Harry was speechless after being rebuked.
His face flushed with embarrassment, he slunk back to Ron's bedside.
Pansy, still seemingly unsatisfied, pointed at Ron's hospital bed and continued to berate him: "Weasley, if it weren't for Argus's quick reflexes in Potions class, do you think you would have been able to take Flight class?"
"How many people have been harmed by that potion you brewed!"
"You did something wrong but didn't repent, and instead made your friends clean up your mess. You're really something!"
Ron was filled with shame and indignation, his eyes filled with tears as Pansy spoke, yet he was unable to refute her words.
He grabbed the blanket and buried his head deep inside.
Argus sneered.
You can't even handle this?
Ron Weasley, your good days are just beginning!
...
Argus returned to the Slytherin common room in the evening.
As Argus was about to return to his dormitory to rest, he suddenly heard someone calling his name.
"Excuse me, is Mr. Grindelwald here?"
"Could you please call him for me? Thank you."
Argus arrived at the entrance to the rest area, where three red-haired men stood out.
"Mr. Grindelwald, we are here to apologize to you on behalf of Ron."
"We spoiled him when he was young, which caused you trouble. We are really sorry."
Percy led the Weasley twins forward and bowed to Argus without saying a word.
The Weasleys were raised to be quite well-mannered; Arthur and Molly were both extremely upright people.
They did not choose to protect Argus and Draco because of their backgrounds.
Percy and the Weasley twins did not choose to blindly protect him; upon learning the news, they immediately came to apologize to Argus.
"We will compensate you for the textbook Ron threw away at the original price, or buy you a new one."
"Once his injuries have healed, I will personally bring him to apologize to you and Mr. Malfoy."
"I hope you can forgive us."
"No need for an apology, just keep an eye on him from now on."
Argus was not one to take his anger out on others easily.
Percy and the Weasley twins were both pawns he had planned in advance, and he would never allow himself to leave a bad impression on the three of them beforehand.
This led to the subsequent situation where Dumbledore poached him.
"It's getting late. If there's nothing else, you should go back and rest."
"I'll go to Draco's place..."
"Wait a moment!"
Seeing that Argus was about to leave, Percy quickly spoke up.
His face flushed slightly, as if he found it extremely difficult to speak.
"There's something else I'd like to discuss with you..."
