Xenia's Pov :
"I did!Mommy made me delicious food for breakfast.Her cooking is even better then uncle chef at our home papa!"He say's and i touch my nose in embarrassment.
"'Mommy..?"Mr Creed look's at me in confusion and i quickly change the subject."He is just a child,don't listen to him..by the way,Mr Creed,is it convenient to talk to you for a minute?Alone?"
He hand's Eli over to a men standing behind him and walk's closer to me.
I take a few step's back to keep some distance and head a little away from Eli and other's.
I didn't notice it before but the park is completely empty today.Except the dozen's of bodyguard looking people that came with Mr Creed.
"Mr Creed-"I had decided to give you a check of 50 million.But since Eli stayed with you for a few day's and you took care of him,i will change the amount to a Billion.Will that be enough Miss Ashford?"He say's holding out a check."I hope you don't disclose any information of Eli to the outside world and completely forget that you ever met him.Of course if you are not satisfied with the amount then we can negotiate."
A mocking scoff escapes my lip's before i can control it and i put on a polite smile."Mr Creed,i only found out Eli is your son last night.I took care of him from the moment i saw him at my house,therefore,his identity has nothing to do with my action's.And about this money..i don't need it.I am not rich like you but my family has taught me how to be kind and respectful.Thus i hope you wont mention this money's matter again.He is a very lovable kid.I would have done the same if it was someone else in his place."
He seem's frozen as he stares at me,seeming a little surprised and off guard.He takes his hand back and put's away the check with a small smile."I apologise for making you uncomfortable Miss Ashford.It wasn't my intention.Its just that i have met a lot of such people that's why i forgot people of your kind exists too."
"It's okay,i didn't take it to heart."I say and he seem's to relax a little,his smile broadening a little."Then what can i help you with Miss Ashford?"
I pursue my lip's and look behind at Eli who is staring at us curiously."I know it's not my place.But i heard from Eli that he has an aunt and cousins who aren't really friendly to him.It seemed like he is getting bullied.I hope you can look into this matter.This is really bad for a child's growth.I just couldn't bear not saying this to you.He looked almost on the verge of crying when he said this yesterday.Of course if you think i over stepped my boundaries then i apologise.But i believe a child's needs should come first."
"Bullied?Did he say this himself?"He asks's his expression darkening a little.
"He said they often cursed his late mother and him too.His cousins also seems to be violent with him.You should have a talk with Eli Mr Creed.Children's are sensitive to begin with."I say and he gives me a small smile,his expression normal like before as if it doesn't dark a few seconds ago.
"I will have a talk with him.Thank you for informing me about this Miss Ashford."He says and tittles his head a little."But this is about Eli,so it doesn't count.What can i do for you?As in thanking you for taking care of Eli."
I shake my head a little."There's no need Mr Creed.I..also had a child once but unfortunately,i didn't get to be a mother to him.If anything Eli gave me a chance to feel like a mother once again.I am thankful to him for this."
"I am sorry to hear this Miss Ashford."He say's looking a little conflicted and sorry."I remember Fiena said you are her best friend?"
