Nora's POV
"That's precisely how I identified it as a ghoul. I mean, few creatures can survive a blade straight through the heart without dying." I chuckle while scanning the amazed expressions surrounding me. James and I occupy a cozy spot near the fireplace in one of the common areas, encircled by a collection of students. This small audience began forming as I gave James a tour of the academy, and when we returned to this room, more than twelve students had been trailing us with obvious curiosity.
As I mentioned before, I've earned quite a name for myself at this institution, and James is, well, James. He possesses the ability to make heterosexual men salivate and devoted women contemplate infidelity with just a single cocky grin. Fortunately, he belongs entirely to me.
"How did you manage to destroy it?" a student inquires, her eyes expanding as she winds her crimson locks around her digits.
