Nora's POV
"Absolutely not," I counter firmly. "Lynne Winchester is pure legend."
"She certainly is," Kevin confirms. "Tell me what you know about the war."
"Standard curriculum stuff." I brush my hair behind my ear, straightening my posture. "The vampires declared war on witches because they resented our ability to exist in both light and darkness. They coveted our magical abilities and attempted to convert witches into vampires, hoping to steal our powers for themselves. In one night, they transformed an entire village, effectively doubling their forces. Victory seemed impossible until Lynne managed to channel pure light—" I stop mid-sentence, remembering something Antonia mentioned months ago.
Lynne received her power directly from a divine source, which enabled her to summon something potent enough to incinerate those vampires while sacrificing herself. Summoning white light isn't within most witches' capabilities, yet it's always come naturally to me.
