Nora's POV
"The sun will rise soon and you should rest," James says, glancing toward Kevin. "Do angels even need rest?"
"Usually not, though I should remain still for about an hour to help my system process the remaining poison."
"Is there anything you need?" I ask.
"A clean shirt would be helpful. This one is damaged."
"You can borrow one of James's," I offer, earning a look from James. "Oh come on," I say under my breath. "You own more clothing than a department store."
"Alright, I'll find something." James presses a kiss to my head before heading to our bedroom to grab Kevin some clothes.
The room grows quiet as Rhianna wanders in, brushing against my legs before cautiously approaching Kevin to sniff him. Despite how surreal this situation is, I feel an odd sense of kinship with him. We share something cosmic that I can't quite explain.
"Has your former brother stayed away since we confronted him?"
