Hmm? This Tentacool has grown quite a bit stronger after this battle. It seems battling can also increase Combat Power and Evolution Value. In that case, unless absolutely necessary, Raj could no longer allow Haunter and the others to absorb other Pokémon to raise their abilities.

"Hmm? I think Brock is sad because he hasn't had any romance," Raj said as he walked out of the cabin laughing.
At the stern of the ship, a hemp rope was tied to the railing, and below it hung a large wooden basin carrying the Team Rocket trio.
"Why are we back here, Meowth?"
"We don't want to be here either, but we have no choice."
"The budget ran out, but it doesn't matter. As long as we cross the sea somehow, it's fine," Jessie said helplessly.
"The communication ship from Lan Prunchi Harbor has now arrived at Maiden's Peak Harbor. A summer festival is currently being prepared at Maiden's Peak," the etiquette lady announced.
"Wow, a festival! I've never seen one before!" Ash said excitedly.
"It looks really interesting. Should we go check it out quickly?" Raj asked curiously.
"A festival of love, a belated festival. Huh? Is that person...?" Brock suddenly stopped and looked toward the pier.
A beautiful girl stood there with long purple hair fluttering in the wind. She wore a white dress and looked slightly melancholic.
"So beautiful!" Brock's eyes instantly turned into hearts.
Suddenly a large crowd of tourists passed by, and when Brock looked again, the girl had disappeared.
"Ah, she's gone," Brock sighed as he sat on the ground sadly.
"Cheer up. Let's go enjoy the festival," Ash and Misty said while pulling Brock forward.
Strange. Raj felt he had also seen the beautiful girl earlier. It even seemed like she had looked directly at him before disappearing.
"I heard there's a festival here!" James said as he poked his head out from the pier.
"Heh heh, festivals mean crowds, and crowds mean lost wallets. I'm definitely getting rich today," Jessie said happily.
"We're really bad, aren't we! Wow, so beautiful!" James suddenly froze after seeing the same mysterious girl earlier, and his eyes turned into hearts.
"Hey! What are you spacing out for? It's work time!" Jessie and Meowth both smacked him on the head.
"To the festival, to the festival!"
When James looked back again, the girl had disappeared.
"Don't run!" an old voice suddenly called out from behind Brock.
"Yes!" Brock immediately turned around.
"Ah!" Brock jumped in fright after seeing the elderly shrine woman standing right in front of him and fell to the ground. "A dried-up Kappa."
"Who are you calling a Kappa? Listen carefully. Don't mind my appearance, but beware of beautiful women. If you ignore an elder's warning, you will definitely suffer!" the shrine elder said while staring through a magnifying glass.
Beautiful women. Did she mean the mysterious girl at the pier? Raj wondered.
"Oh come on. How could I do anything bad to Brock?" Misty said shyly while covering her face.
"I'm talking about beautiful women, not some wet-behind-the-ears little brat!" the shrine elder said sternly.
"Pfft, little brat," Raj and Ash laughed at the same time.
Thud.
Misty hit both of them on the head and said angrily, "Little brat? Then what are you two supposed to be? Hurry up and move already!"
"Beautiful women and suffering losses. For her, I'm willing to suffer a loss," Brock said dreamily.
Meanwhile Team Rocket crawled around the ground with magnifying glasses.
"Nothing, nothing. Why isn't anyone dropping money?"
"Forget one hundred or ten. There isn't even a single cent," James said dejectedly.
"This festival is too shabby," Meowth complained.
"Hey! It's five dollars!" James suddenly shouted excitedly.
"Wait a moment," the shrine elder said again while leaning on her cane.
"You saw it?"
"Yes. I often see bad things happen," she replied calmly.
"You? Why should I give you the money I found?" James said teasingly.
"I'm not here for your money. You must beware of beautiful women. Otherwise you will suffer."
"My suffering didn't just start today. I've been suffering all along," James replied gloomily.
"What's wrong with you? If you have trouble, call 110. I'm always ready to help," Officer Jenny suddenly appeared.
"You found money and even returned it. Even though it's only five dollars, that's commendable."
Officer Jenny took the money from James's hand.
"Please come with me to the police station. I need your assistance with a short statement," she said politely.
"Ah haha, no need. You can handle it yourself. Just write whatever you want. Sorry, goodbye!" Jessie said while dragging James away.
At this moment Raj and the others arrived at an exhibition stage.
"It's starting! The Maiden's Shrine Treasure Exhibition Ceremony is about to begin!"
"This painting has been preserved at Maiden's Shrine for two thousand years!"
"Please appreciate it respectfully!"
The girl shown in the painting was exactly the same mysterious woman Brock, James, and Raj had seen earlier.
"Strange. Why does she look so familiar?" Jessie muttered.
"This girl passed away two thousand years ago."
"She had a lover."
"But her lover sailed off to war. She waited and waited, but he never returned. She kept waiting until she finally turned into a rock. Even now she is still waiting for him."
Holy crap. They even brought out the Waiting-for-Husband Rock legend. Raj silently complained.
Standing before Maiden's Rock, Brock stared at it passionately.
"That's Maiden's Rock. It's so beautiful. If she were a Pokémon, I would never leave her for my entire life."
"That's right. I won't let anyone else take her away. She can only belong to me," James said just as passionately.
Strange. Raj also felt an urge to stay beside the rock, although not nearly as strong.
"What are you being silly about? There's no way anyone can steal a rock that big," Jessie said speechlessly.
"That's impossible, but the painting is possible. Pokémon are money. Gold coins are money. Paintings are also money. So we can steal the painting and sell it for a good price," Meowth suggested.
"That's right! If we steal the painting and sell it, we'll make a huge profit!" Jessie said excitedly.
"Even if I got it, I wouldn't sell that painting. Don't even think about it," James said stubbornly.
Later that night, after curfew began, Brock was still staring at Maiden's Rock and had not returned to the Pokémon Center.
Raj and the others began to worry about him.
Meanwhile Team Rocket rested outside the shrine in their sleeping bags.
Meowth woke up and was about to wake Jessie and James to start causing trouble.
Suddenly he saw the soul of the mysterious girl slowly floating out from inside the shrine.
