~{RUBY'S POV}~
*
"You may go in, Deborah. I would like to speak with Ruby for a moment." Peter announced and I saw how Deborah frowned in confusion.
"What do you need to talk to her about that doesn't concern me?" She asked in suspicion.
"You just answered yourself, Deborah. It doesn't concern you. This is between her and I," he said and let go of Deborah's hand before leading me away.
He held my hand firmly but not too firm to hurt it, just a good amount and I said nothing.
When I looked back to see if Deborah had gone in, I found her looking at us in suspicion.
"She is watching us, right?" I heard him ask.
"Yes," I answered and faced forward.
When he got to another room which I assumed was his, he opened the door and gestured for me to go in first which I did.
On entering, he entered as well and carefully closed the door behind us before folding his arms as his expression became serious.
"What if she comes by and tries to listen?" I thoughtfully asked.
