Chapter 20: Terminator T-800 is Too Pathetic!

43rd Street, Los Angeles.

The Terminator T-800 was spotted by plainclothes LAPD officers as soon as it entered 43rd Street. Even though the Terminator T-800 was disguised, it was precisely the thoroughness of its disguise that gave it away.

After all, what normal person would cover themselves from head to toe?

The Terminator T-800 had no choice!

Its tissue covering was almost completely destroyed, and after soaking in the Los Angeles River for several hours, the entire tissue layer was completely ineffective. What else could the Terminator T-800 do but cover itself completely?

Was it supposed to just reveal its metal skull?

Wouldn't that make it obvious even from a distance?

Even with its disguise, the Terminator T-800's suspicious, fully covered appearance, including its head, while not exactly broadcasting "robot" in neon lights, was practically indistinguishable from doing so.

After spotting the Terminator T-800, the LAPD plainclothes officers, remembering their previous attempt to engage it and suffering casualties, naturally dared not challenge it again.

The LAPD officers had learned their lesson; they directly notified the FBI's Los Angeles field office, passing the responsibility—after all, the FBI always claimed to be superior to the LAPD!

The Terminator T-800 was completely unaware that it had been exposed; its basic programming's primary target was Sarah Connor.

As for why there were three Sarah Connors distributed around the FBI's Los Angeles field office?

Sorry!

Given the Terminator T-800's basic AI, it genuinely couldn't detect such a problem.

As the Terminator T-800 approached 1823 Carson Boulevard, FBI agents arrived at the scene.

"Jackson, are you ready?" Marcus asked.

Jackson quickly replied, "No problem! Boss, don't worry, I'm ready!"

"All personnel, Plan Three, prepare to move!" Marcus ordered over the walkie-talkie.

"Roger."

"Understood."

...

The team leaders responded.

"Jackson, move out!" Marcus issued the order.

"Okay!" Jackson responded, then slammed on the accelerator. A black SUV burst out of the alley and sped towards Terminator T-800.

While Terminator T-800's AI wasn't highly sophisticated, its reaction speed was remarkably fast.

As Jackson drove the black SUV out, Terminator T-800 raised its pistol and aimed at the vehicle.

"Bang bang bang bang..."

A series of gunshots rang out, but the black SUV didn't stop.

Inside the black SUV, Jackson laughed loudly, "Nice try, tin man! This is armored!"

How could mere pistol bullets possibly penetrate the glass of an armored vehicle?

The black SUV rammed into Terminator T-800 like a charging bull. Terminator T-800 had initially calculated it could neutralize Jackson directly, thus stopping the black SUV.

But the calculation failed to account for armored glass.

"Crash!"

The black SUV slammed into Terminator T-800, sending it flying once again, just like before.

As the Terminator was knocked to the ground, the well-prepared FBI agents worked together, some using heavy-duty nylon netting, others using steel cables, and most importantly, the other end of the steel cables was already connected to high-powered pickup trucks.

The unfortunate Terminator T-800, after being knocked down, was enveloped in the heavy-duty nylon netting. For the Terminator T-800's servo motors to break through the netting was practically impossible.

"Agent Foster, all five vehicles are ready!" an FBI agent reported.

Marcus immediately ordered, "Execute immediately!"

After Marcus's order, the five high-powered pickup trucks, distributed three to the east and two to the west, sped forward.

The steel cables connecting the five vehicles were looped around the Terminator's limbs and neck. A few seconds later, all five cables went taut, and the Terminator T-800 groaned and deformed with metallic stress sounds.

"Crack!"

A sharp sound rang out as the Terminator T-800's head was ripped off first, followed by its arms. The legs weren't successfully removed, but this was enough.

Kyle stood beside Marcus, stunned as he watched the Terminator T-800 being torn apart. Although the dismemberment wasn't perfect, the Terminator T-800 was utterly helpless.

In Kyle's experience, the Terminator T-800 was extremely dangerous. In his time, defeating it would have required a direct, desperate confrontation.

But now, the Terminator T-800 was neutralized without any resistance!

"Kyle, it's your turn now. Remove the Terminator T-800's power cell," Marcus ordered.

Kyle readily agreed, "Okay."

The Terminator T-800 was now split into four parts: two arms, a head, and the torso with legs. Even in this state, Marcus remained vigilant, binding the Terminator T-800's legs with heavy-duty nylon rope.

Kyle looked at the Terminator T-800's remains. He didn't act immediately, but asked first, "Shall we handle it here?"

"Is there a problem?" Marcus countered.

"Although the Terminator T-800's power cell is safe, completely removing it is quite involved. Why don't we take it back and then carefully disassemble it?" Kyle suggested.

Marcus thought for a moment and then agreed, "No problem."

...

FBI Los Angeles Field Office.

The Terminator T-800 was taken to the internal laboratory. Kyle was removing the power cell from inside the Terminator T-800, while Marcus was overseeing the complete destruction of the Terminator T-800.

Marcus wanted to solve the problem once and for all, ideally by completely destroying the Terminator T-800, leaving no fragments, thus preventing people in this era from recklessly researching the Terminator T-800.

"Is the thermite ready?" Marcus asked Jackson beside him.

Jackson responded affirmatively, "Of course. Just a moment, boss, I've already sent someone to get it. We'll melt this thing down in a bit."

Less than two minutes later, an FBI agent returned with the thermite.

Jackson and Rodriguez personally arranged the thermite, carefully piling it onto the Terminator T-800's arms and head. After taking proper heat insulation and fire safety measures, Jackson asked, "Should we just ignite it?"

Marcus responded affirmatively, "Just ignite it!"

Jackson looked at Rodriguez, "You do it, or should I?"

Rodriguez shrugged, "Whatever."

"Hehehe, I'll do it then. I love this kind of thing!" Jackson's personality was enthusiastic, and he was very interested in destroying the Terminator T-800.

"No problem," Rodriguez replied and stepped back.

Jackson carefully put on his safety goggles, ignited the thermite using a magnesium strip, and grinned as he backed away, watching the intense flames emitted by the burning thermite.

Poor Terminator T-800, not only was it torn apart by five vehicles, but now it was being melted by thermite. It was really having a terrible day!

Just as Marcus had said before, what threat was a mere Terminator T-800?
