047 Worth 10,000 Life Points!
While Marcus was analyzing the Main God, Jake and Alex's team returned to the Main God Space.
A spacious plaza appeared with a giant sphere of light at its center. Jake introduced it, "That's the Main God! If you have any questions, just communicate with the Main God directly!"
After saying this, Jake returned to his room.
Alex immediately tried to contact the Main God and search for information, mainly about the Resident Evil world. Previously, in the Resident Evil world, he had even wondered if his memory was playing tricks on him, and if Marcus Foster was a character from the Resident Evil storyline.
However, after spending 10 points to quickly rewatch Resident Evil 1, Alex was certain that Marcus Foster was definitely not a character from the storyline.
While Alex was communicating with the Main God, a familiar voice rang out in the Main God Space.
"So this giant sphere of light is the Main God?" Marcus Foster's voice came through.
Alex was startled!
He stared at Marcus in shock. "Mr... Mr. Foster?"
Marcus looked at Alex with a half-smile. "You seem quite surprised?"
Alex mentally screamed—how could he not be surprised?
This was the Main God Space!
Marcus Foster had actually appeared in the Main God Space!
How could Alex not be surprised?
"Ahem!" Alex looked at Marcus awkwardly.
Jake, who had already entered his room, came back out, looking at Marcus with a serious expression.
"Alex, you should remember, you owe me a favor," Marcus reminded him.
Alex nodded. "Yes, I remember. Mr. Foster, what do you need me to do for you?"
Marcus didn't answer immediately. He walked step by step toward the Main God. When he was less than ten meters away from the Main God, a massive bolt of lightning surged from the large sphere of light and rushed toward Marcus.
But the massive bolt of lightning vanished in front of Marcus!
'Other system detected a threat to the host, automatically adjusting rules to offset the threat!' The Transcendence System issued a reminder.
Marcus took a half step back, returning to a distance of ten meters. He examined the large sphere of light and exclaimed, "This is the Main God!"
Jake stared at Marcus in shock. "This guy is indeed extraordinary!"
Jake's identity was very complex; he was a semi-guide, and therefore knew the Main God very well. He knew the Main God's power, but the fact that the Main God couldn't do anything to Marcus was very intriguing!
Alex also stared at Marcus in disbelief. He had already tried to think highly of Marcus, but Marcus had actually withstood the Main God's attack head-on.
Before entering the Main God's space, Alex's understanding of the Main God's power was only superficial, but now that he was inside, he had just browsed through the Main God's situation and naturally had a certain understanding of the Main God's power.
"System, can we use the Main God to do things for us?" Marcus asked the Transcendence System while examining the large sphere of light.
The Transcendence System responded, "Sorry, host, although this system has higher authority than the Main God System, to activate the Main God System, you would need to become an executor under the Main God, or use a large number of life points."
Marcus naturally had no interest in joining the Main God Space, nor was he prepared to invest a large number of life points.
Life points were Marcus's lifeblood!
That's why Marcus deliberately arranged for Alex to owe him a favor.
"Alex," Marcus called out.
Alex looked at Marcus. "What are your orders, Mr. Foster?"
Marcus snapped his fingers, and Terminator T-1000 stepped forward, handing Alex three blue double-helix glass vials.
"These are T-virus samples. I need you to help me remove their side effects through the Main God," Marcus stated his request.
Marcus had already consulted the Transcendence System; to solve this problem through the Transcendence System, the first vial would require 10,000 life points.
Because the first T-virus without side effects would completely cure Alicia, thus causing a huge impact on the fate of the Resident Evil world.
Starting with the second T-virus sample, to remove the side effects of the T-virus through the reversal of cause and effect using destiny, one thousand life points would still be required.
Did Marcus have that many life points?
Obviously not!
Alex received the three T-virus vials from Terminator T-1000. He knew he had no choice but to approach the Main God and connect with it through thought.
"Main God, how many points do I need to pay to remove the side effects of the T-virus?" Alex asked.
The Main God coldly replied, "Each T-virus sample requires 500 points."
Alex breathed a sigh of relief. Back in Resident Evil 1, Marcus had him eliminate 16 Lickers, earning him 1,600 points. Now, the cost of removing the side effects of the three T-virus samples was 1,500 points.
In total, he had earned 100 points. Was this Marcus's reward for his hard work?
Alex agreed without hesitation. "Okay, I need to remove the side effects of the three T-virus samples."
"Confirm?" the Main God asked.
"Confirm," Alex responded affirmatively.
After Alex responded, the Main God descended with three orbs of light, which merged into the T-virus vials, and then issued a notification: 'The side effects of the T-virus have been completely cleared, automatically deducting 1,500 points.'
Alex ignored the Main God and handed the three T-virus vials back to Terminator T-1000, saying, "I've had the Main God remove the side effects from them."
After speaking, he paused for two seconds before continuing, "Each T-virus sample cost 500 points to remove its side effects."
Marcus took the T-virus samples that had their side effects removed by the Main God from Terminator T-1000 and asked in his mind, 'System, can you check if the Main God has interfered with these T-virus samples?'
The Transcendence System responded, 'Please rest assured, host, the system has already checked the condition of the T-virus samples. The Main God System also has its own rules and limitations. When the executor of the Main God System requests it, as long as there are enough Main God points, the Main God System must execute the rules.'
"Then why is the price for removing side effects by the Main God System so cheap?" Marcus was somewhat puzzled.
The Transcendence System responded directly, "Because the way the Main God System removes the T-virus's side effects is very simple and brutal—it directly removes the T-virus's strengthening effect on the mind. Simply put, the current T-virus is an incomplete version, which can only enhance physical attributes."
"Can you achieve that effect?" Marcus pressed.
"Host, you should have heard the saying 'jack of all trades, master of none,'" the Transcendence System responded. "The Main God System's functions are scattered and not refined. While it can solve most simple problems, it can't handle high-level issues. Furthermore, the Main God System's problem-solving methods are rather simplistic and crude, including the bloodlines fused through the Main God System, which have flaws and cannot reach their full potential."
Marcus knew this!
"Will this incomplete version of the T-virus work on Alicia?" Marcus asked the most important question.
"Of course!" the Transcendence System replied.
Marcus smiled. As long as it worked on Alicia, it was equivalent to the effect of ten thousand life points!
