-------------------------------------------------------

The cafeteria was so silent you could hear the hum of the industrial refrigerators. Captain Zhao lay on the floor, his nose pressed against the linoleum, looking less like a Vanguard and more like a discarded rug.

His team of commandos froze.

Their rifles, sleek, obsidian-finished weapons powered by mana-crystals were halfway to their shoulders.

"Captain!" one of them shouted, reaching for his sidearm.

"Two," Han Jin said softly.

He didn't look at the commandos.

He was looking at his fork.

With a casual flick of his wrist, he tossed the plastic utensil into the air.

Using the Rusty Paperclip, he linked the weight of the fork to the atmospheric pressure of the entire room.

CRACK

The fork didn't fall.

Instead, the air in the cafeteria suddenly became as heavy as lead.

The commandos didn't just drop their guns; they were slammed into the floor, their knees cracking against the tiles.

Even the tables groaned under the invisible weight.

"That's three," Han Jin finished.

He looked down at Captain Zhao, who was struggling to lift his head, his face purple from the pressure.

"You were saying something about coming with you? I believe the floor has a counter-offer."

[BING! Quest: The Bureau's Blunder - COMPLETE!]

[Evaluation: Overwhelming Dominance.

You didn't even use a hand.

The System is slightly intimidated.]

[Reward: 500 System Points, 'Intermediate' Recipe Book (Soul-Nourishing Edition) received!]

Han Jin felt a surge of information enter his mind, complex culinary techniques involving the manipulation of spiritual heat and the filleting of dimensional energies.

Finally, a way to fix the local cuisine.

He snapped his fingers, and the crushing pressure vanished.

The commandos gasped for air, scrambling backward.

Captain Zhao rolled over, coughing, his eyes wide with a mixture of terror and realization. He had fought "Awakened" before...people with fireballs and super-strength but this wasn't that.

This was someone rewriting the rules of the room.

"Who... what are you?" Zhao wheezed, wiping blood from his nose.

"A hungry student," Han Jin replied.

He turned to Lin Xi, who had remained suspiciously unaffected by the pressure. "Class President, if the government asks, tell them I'm open to consultation, but only after school hours, and if , and only if they bring better ingredients."

He looked at the stunned commandos. "Now, get out.

You're ruining the ambiance of this mediocre cafeteria."

Captain Zhao didn't argue.

He signaled his men to retreat.

They moved with the speed of people who had just realized they were standing in a lion's den.

As the doors closed behind them, the System chime rang again.

[BING! New Feature Unlocked: 'Emperor's Favor' (Relationship System)]

[Note: A God-Emperor cannot conquer the world alone.

You require a Consort... or at least someone to handle your laundry.]

[Target Detected: Lin Xi (Andromeda Recorder)]

[Current Favor: 15/100 (Interested/Terrified)]

Han Jin's lip curled. "Consort? System, I have outlived entire galaxies.

Do you really think I'm interested in High School Romance?"

[System Note: Target 'Lin Xi' is currently in possession of a 'Star-Grade Spice Rack' hidden in her dimensional pocket.

It contains salt from the Pillars of Creation.]

Han Jin paused.

He slowly turned his head toward Lin Xi.

The Ice Beauty was currently trying to look inconspicuous by drinking a carton of milk, but she froze when she met Han Jin's gaze.

"Lin Xi," Han Jin said, his voice dropping an octave.

"We need to talk. Specifically about your spice rack."

Lin Xi nearly choked on her milk. "My...how do you know about that? That's a Class-A Galactic Artifact!"

"It's a kitchen accessory," Han Jin corrected, standing up and walking toward her.

"And since you've been spying on me, it's only fair you provide the seasoning for my next meal."

[Favor Increased: 20/100 (Confused/Intrigued)]

Just then, the school's PA system crackled to life.

But it wasn't the principal, and it wasn't the synthesized voice from before.

It was a deep, distorted growl that echoed through the building.

"Han... Jin..."

The windows of the cafeteria began to frost over, the ice forming jagged, runic patterns.

"The First Wave was a test. The Second Wave... is a hunt.

We know what you are, God-Emperor."

Han Jin looked at the frost on the glass.

His bored expression didn't change, but his eyes glowed with a faint, dangerous gold.

"System," he whispered.

"It seems someone else has been reading my source code.

Link my Hearing to the source of that broadcast.

I want to know exactly which dimension I need to delete next."

[System Note: Warning! Trace-back initiated.

Connection established to: The Frozen Abyss (Rank: S). Recommendation: Buy a jacket.]

"A jacket?" Han Jin smiled, the rusty paperclip glowing in his hand. "I think I'll just burn the Abyss for warmth."
