Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 — The Truth That Could No Longer Be Hidden

When Law heard Wolf's words, he realized that he could no longer hide the truth. To be honest, he had already begun to trust Wolf.

"Wolf-san… I think it's time for you to know what happened to me," Law said quietly. "And how I obtained the power of this Devil Fruit."

Wolf simply nodded, signaling him to continue.

"My real name is Trafalgar D. Water Law."

Hearing Law's true name, Wolf was visibly shocked. He muttered softly, almost to himself, "So… another one with the name of D."

Law heard those words, but he did not comment on them. Instead, he began to tell his story.

He spoke about how he was born in the famous kingdom of Flevance. About his loving family and peaceful life. Then he talked about the disease that appeared — the White Lead Disease — and how it began to spread among the people.

When Wolf heard about the disease, his eyes instinctively scanned Law's body, checking him carefully. Law noticed this and calmly said that he had already cured himself. Then he continued.

He told Wolf how the neighboring countries started slaughtering the people of Flevance, fearing the disease. How his entire family was killed. How he was the only survivor who managed to escape.

Law spoke about joining the Donquixote Family. About Corazon — the man who became the only person he could truly call family. The one who was ready to die for him.

He told Wolf how Corazon helped him, how he stole the Ope Ope no Mi from the Marines and the Donquixote Family, both of whom were hunting for the fruit. And how Corazon sacrificed his life so that Law could live.

"And that's how… I ended up here," Law finished quietly.

After hearing the entire story, Wolf pulled Law into a tight embrace.

"Law… I never could have imagined that you went through such hell," Wolf said.

At that moment, Law could no longer hold himself back. Tears began to fall from his eyes.

Wolf gently placed a hand on his head and slowly stroked his hair, trying to calm him.

After a while, Law regained his composure. Realizing what he had done, he quickly pulled away.

"I'm sorry, Wolf-san," Law said. "I didn't mean to—"

Wolf shook his head.

"Crying doesn't mean you're weak," he said firmly. "You are strong, Law. You survived all of that. Many others would have given up long ago… but you didn't. You kept moving forward."

He looked directly into Law's eyes.

"That only proves how strong your will is. You needed to let all that sadness and pain out. And there is nothing wrong with that."
