When the Polar Tang surfaced and docked at the port, Law stepped onto the island alongside his crew and Lin. The harbor was lively—merchant ships lined the docks, fishermen unloaded their catch, and traders loudly advertised their goods.
Law scanned the surroundings before turning to Shachi. "Do you know this island?"
Shachi nodded. "This is Nordport Island. It's famous for fishing and trade. Merchants from many seas stop here."
"Good," Law replied calmly. "Shachi, Penguin—buy food and tools. If you need help, find us."
With that, Law, Lin, and Bepo headed deeper into the island while Shachi and Penguin moved toward the market district.
As they walked, Law carefully observed the townspeople. They looked happy. Children ran through the streets laughing, adults talked freely, and there was no sign of fear or oppression.
Peaceful… Law thought. Too peaceful.
Suddenly, a shout echoed from a nearby house. "Get away from me, you old bastard!"
A young man stormed outside. He was tall, lean, yet athletic, with messy blond hair. He wore a simple blue shirt and short pants. Law's eyes narrowed, his grip tightening around Kikoku's hilt.
He recognized him instantly.
Bellamy the Hyena.

Lin noticed Law's tension. "Law… what's wrong?"
Law didn't answer. He kept watching.
Bellamy yelled at the old man behind him. "It's your fault I couldn't go out to sea! Look at them now—my friends are already famous pirates in the Grand Line, working under Doflamingo!"
He threw a newspaper onto the ground. Law activated Scope, reading the headline from afar.
"A New Subordinate of the Shichibukai Doflamingo! The Hyena Pirates, Captain Jim Hyena—Bounty: 30,000,000 Berries."
The old man shouted back angrily. "Shut up! I stopped you because I didn't trust those people! And stop calling me an old bastard—I'm your grandfather!"
Law understood immediately.
Bellamy hasn't gone to sea yet.
He hasn't met Doflamingo.

Suddenly, screams erupted across the streets. "Run! Pirates are attacking!"

People fled in panic. Law saw armed pirates advancing through the streets. At their center stood a massive man with a captain's coat and a giant axe strapped to his back.
Law spoke sharply: "Bepo. Find Shachi and Penguin. Help them if they're in danger."
Bepo nodded and ran off.
Lin spoke calmly. "Are you going to fight them?"
Law nodded—but before he could say more, Bellamy stepped forward.
"Hey, you damn pirates! Get out of here before I beat you to death!"
The pirates burst out laughing. Their captain sneered. "Who the hell are you, brat? I'm the most famous pirate in North Blue! My bounty is forty million!"
Bellamy snorted and dropped into a crouch.
His legs began to transform into springs.
Law's eyes widened slightly.
He's already eaten a Devil Fruit…
At that moment, Law made his decision.
