Synopsis
Lieutenant Jonny, a thirty-two-year-old soldier, wakes from what he believes is a nightmare of his squad being blown apart by a landmine—only to realize the nightmare was his death. He opens his eyes not on a battlefield, but inside a primitive tent, attended by a young servant girl who calls him Young Master. As fragments of reality settle in, Jonny discovers the impossible truth: he has transmigrated into another world. Now inhabiting the frail body of Xclaimer Windstream, the sickly third son of a powerful duke, Jonny finds himself in the world of Panama, within the borders of the Chulu Kingdom. At just eighteen years old, burdened by an incurable blood disease and a constitution barely fit for survival, he has been cast off to rule a desolate frontier fief—Millville—a vast but undeveloped territory evaluated by the system itself as “Pathetic.” Worse still, Millville has no cities, no towns, only a single struggling village, scattered mining settlements, dwindling food supplies, and minimal security. Jonny commands no real army, only a small militia, sick slaves, and an entourage on the brink of collapse. Just surviving the six-day journey to his fief is a challenge. Yet Jonny is not entirely without hope. Along with his transmigration comes a mysterious System, granting him status panels, quests, territory management tools, and a system shop capable of reshaping destiny—if he can earn enough points. With his military experience, modern mindset, and iron will trapped in a weak noble’s body, Jonny must navigate political exile, physical frailty, and a crumbling territory. From a dying noble scion to a potential ruler of a land the size of a nation, Jonny’s struggle begins with a single question: Can a broken body, a ruined fief, and a ruthless system be forged into an empire? This is the story of survival, strategy, and conquest—starting from nothing.

Chapter 1 - Young Master

"Young master...!"

Johnny was woken by the constant shaking and calling of a voice he did not recognize.

"Am alive..."

Was his first thought as he forced open his tightly shut eyes. He had had a dream where his squad had been blown up by a landmine, while returning from patrol.

"Bad dream..."

He struggled to sit up as he blinked several times as to focus his sight on the dimly lit room, and the owner of the nagging constant but sweet voice.

"Where am I..?"

Was the first question that crossed his mind after he took in the dimly lit room.

He was laying on a cot made of fur,the roof above his head was concave and it kept flapping.

The room he was in looked ancient,as the floor was packed with scattered hay,the furniture,or what little of it there was,was all made of wood, while on one corner stood a suit of armour and on the other end were a couple of large wooden chests.

"Am still dreaming..."

Johnny said as he closed his eyes and willed himself to wake, only for the sweet voice of the young girl, probably thirteen and clad in a loose cotton rob with white hair cascading down her shoulders interrupted him.

"Young master, the scouting team is back and the physician says it's time for your next dose..."

"Scouting team...?"

"Physician...?"

"This is real...!"

The cogs of Johnny's mind rotated at top gear as he put two and two together.

"This is real..."

Johnny murmured as he took in his surrounding once more, and that's when he realized that the room he had thought to be was not a room, but rather a tent.

"Where am I...?"

Johnny could not help but ask.

As for the girl, she was surprised by Johnny's question, but was quick to hide her surprise.

"Young master,we are currently camped in the Cone Valley, six days from your newly assigned fief..."

She said as she moved to pour Johnny some water in a ceramic mug.

"Young master..."

"Fief..."

"Tent..."

"Camped..."

From her respond and surroundings, Johnny learnt a couple of things,he deduced that since they were traveling to his newly assigned fief,he must be some kind of noble.

As for the scouting team, that must have been part of his army, how big it was,he did not know,as for why he needed a physician,he must probably be sick.

What he did not figure out was how a thirty-two year old lieutenant could end up in a tent, being attended to by an underage servant while traveling to his newly assigned fief.

"Thank you..."

Johnny said to the attending servant girl as he reached for the ceramic mug of water being handed to him,and that was when he saw them.

The hands reaching out for the ceramic mug were not his usual large and masculine ones, but some thin, extremely thin hands. They also resembled those of a teen, probably in his late teens.

"What the hell is happening...!"

He pondered as he downed the cool refreshing water.

"Transmigration...!"

That was the only answer he could come up with after trying to comprehend everything.

"So we all died..."

The servant girl did not miss the sombre mood that Johnny wore the moment he realized that they had actually blown up,and probably his whole squad was dead.

The servant girl mistook the look for one of the frequent looks the sickly young master had been wearing ever since they left their home, two months ago,for his newly assigned fief.

To most noble children like him, being assigned a fief was something grand, but to her young master,it was not.

The young master was the third born son of the Duke of Windstream. Though a child prodigy at birth,he had developed a blood related disease that turned him into the walking stick he was.

His father had consulted every physician he could for a cure but all they could do was prescribe potions and medicines that helped managed the mysterious sickness.

In short, they only found a way to prolong his suffering.

Unbeknownst to the servant girl and the rest of the entourage, the young master they knew had died at dawn, and his body was currently inhabited by a man from a far far far away planet,on probably a different corner of the universe.

"You could at least given me my old body..."

Johnny sighed as he handed the ceramic mug over.

"Go tell them to wait,I will need a minute on my own..."

Johnny instructed the white haired servant girl.

"Yes young master..."

He watched her leave, closing the tent flapping entrance behind her.

"So I transmigrated..."

Johnny stood and did a few stretches.

"This body is not just weak,it's pathetic..."

He lamented as he sat on one of the empty wooden chairs,he chose it as it was the only one cushioned and was a little bit smaller and its craftsmanship better than the rest.

"Not bad..."

He said as he felt his body perfectly fit in.

"This is surely mine..."

Johnny made himself comfortable, before going through all he had so far learnt.

"New world, young sickly noble body, new fief..."

"But something ain't right..."

Johnny pondered for a while before his face brightened. He had recalled what was amiss.

After the bombing,he had experienced a moment of nothingness before some weird sounds, incoherent to him, filled his mind.

"A system...!"

He exclaimed as he willed the system to appear.

Johnny wondered wether his parents were high while naming him. He would later on come to learn that the weird naming sense was a common custom amongst the masses.

"Baron of Millville..."

"Not a bad name..."

"And what with such a constitution..."

"Wait, does it mean that there are more of them...?"

"And what with that locked trait...?"

"You should at least give me clues on how to unlock it..."

Johnny pondered for a second before moving on.
