Chapter 25 - Chapter 5-4

Jazik sprinted down the school hallway, the Dodo Magia's heavy, metallic footsteps echoing with a chilling rhythm behind him. He wove through the frantic crowd of students, shoving people out of the way and yelling for them to clear a path. The Dodo Magia, however, was relentless, firing red beam slashes that carved through lockers with a sharp SHINK, sending sparks flying and metal groaning. Jazik ducked and rolled, his heart pounding a frantic drum against his ribs.

He considered transforming, but the hallway teemed with students, phones held high, recording. Exposure was certain. He had to lead the Dodo Magia away. His Granute speed was superior, but the Dodo Magia was a relentless combat machine. Fighting it as a human risked civilian lives. Transforming publicly would shatter the secrecy protecting his new life and the Dupain-Cheng family. The terrifying choice was made.

Jazik burst through a set of double doors, the sudden silence of the empty science wing a stark contrast to the clamor of the hallway. He hoped to isolate the fight here, to keep anyone else from becoming involved. He turned to brace for impact, but the Dodo Magia was faster than he anticipated. It closed the distance with a WHOOSH, a blur of crimson and silver, slamming Jazik into a concrete wall with a heavy THUD. The impact knocked the wind out of him, leaving his lungs aching for air. The Magia pressed a bladed forearm against his throat, the red energy of its weapon humming dangerously close to his skin.

"Specimen G-7. You will return to G.O.D.," the Magia stated, its voice a distorted mechanical rasp that felt like static against his ear.

A shiver of cold dread traced its way down Jazik's spine. He could feel the sharp edge of the blade, the metallic scent of it filling his nostrils. The pressure made his vision blur slightly at the edges. His mind, usually so clear in danger, scrambled for a solution. He knew he had a Poppingummy Gochizo in his pocket, but reaching for it now, with the blade at his throat, felt like an impossibility. The risk of exposure was immense, yet the alternative was unthinkable.

Just as Jazik prepared to risk everything, to activate his Gavv and unleash its power, a red and black blur whipped through the air. A yo-yo struck the Dodo Magia's helmet with a sharp CRACK, sparking off the metallic surface and jarring the monster enough to make it flinch. The pressure on Jazik's throat vanished as the Dodo staggered back, its balance momentarily lost. Jazik looked up, his eyes widening slightly, to see Ladybug and Cat Noir landing in synchronized crouches on the banisters of the upper floor, their forms cutting sharp against the fluorescent lights.

"Run! We'll take care of this," Ladybug shouted, her voice commanding and clear, cutting through the ringing in Jazik's ears.

He didn't hesitate. He scrambled away, pushing off the wall with a quiet grunt and putting as much distance as possible between himself and the terrifying creature that still considered him its property.

The Dodo Magia's optical sensors flared, its head snapping toward Ladybug and Cat Noir. It saw them as new, unexpected variables, but nothing more. Jazik, meanwhile, pressed himself against the cool wall, trying to disappear, a silent observer of the unfolding confrontation.

"That's one of them," Ladybug stated, her voice tight with focus, her yo-yo already spinning. "It's not an Akuma, Cat Noir. Be careful."

Cat Noir twirled his staff with a playful flourish, a faint grin on his face. "Never seen a robot with such a bad attitude, My Lady."

The Dodo Magia processed the interruption. Its internal programming prioritized the primary target, Specimen G-7, but any entity that interfered with the capture was classified as a hostile. Ladybug and Cat Noir had just upgraded themselves from bystanders to threats, a designation that carried an immediate authorization for their elimination. The Magia's crimson blades hummed, ready to strike. It would deal with these interlopers swiftly.

The Dodo Magia didn't hesitate. It moved like a machine built for killing, not a person caught in a moment of rage. The Buaruku Sabers flashed, carving silver arcs through the air. Ladybug threw herself backward, the tip of a blade grazing her yo-yo string and severing it with a sharp snap.

She hit the ground in a roll, already reaching for a backup string. Cat Noir lunged, his staff spinning to hook the Magia's legs. The Dodo simply leaped, impossibly high, its digitigrade legs absorbing the impact of the landing on a nearby desk. It spun mid-air, slashing downward. Cat Noir blocked, but the force sent him skidding across the floor, crashing into a row of metal lockers with a deafening clang.

The Magia didn't press the advantage against him. It turned its cyan sensors back to Ladybug and raised an arm. Red energy coalesced along the feather-blades.

"Get down!" Ladybug shouted, diving behind a teacher's desk.

A volley of energy slashes ripped through the air, shredding textbooks and exploding chunks of wood from the furniture. The air filled with the smell of ozone and paper dust. Cat Noir coughed, wiping plaster from his mask. He looked at the jagged gashes in the metal lockers next to him.

"Okay," he wheezed, voice losing its usual playful lilt. "That thing doesn't play around."

Ladybug peered over the desk. The Dodo stood amidst the wreckage, perfectly still, waiting. There was no taunt, no monologue about justice or revenge. Just the low, mechanical hum of its armor and the cold, scanning motion of its head.

"It's not an Akuma," Ladybug realized, her voice tight. "It feels... hollow. No emotion driving it. Just a directive."

Cat Noir gripped his staff, knuckles white. "Meaning?"

"Meaning it won't get distracted," she said, watching the Dodo's stance shift. "It's just going to keep coming until we're down."

Jazik watched from the shadows of the school hallway, his breath shallow. He saw Ladybug and Cat Noir struggling to coordinate; the Magia's speed was catching them off guard. Cat Noir lunged, but the Dodo sidestepped with unnatural precision, slashing the hero's shoulder and sending him skidding back.

Jazik clenched his fists. He couldn't let them fight his war while he hid.

He glanced down the empty corridor. No witnesses.

He opened the zipper of his jacket, revealing the blue mouth on his abdomen. The Gavv organ opened, lips parting to reveal dark teeth.

"I have to help them," he muttered.

Jazik didn't hesitate. He pushed a Poppingummy Gochizo into the waiting mouth of the Gavv.

[GUMMY!]

CHOMP.

[EAT GUMMY! EAT GUMMY!]

A blinding flash of blue and magenta light erupted from the hallway. The air filled with the scent of grape candy and ozone. When the light faded, Kamen Rider Gavv stood in Jazik's place, his armor pulsing with gelatinous energy.

[POPPINGUMMY! JUICY!]

He launched himself forward, a streak of vibrant color. His foot slammed into the Dodo Magia's side, a heavy gummy impact that knocked the monster off balance and sent it careening into the lockers.

Gavv landed in a crouch between the monster and the heroes, his back to them. He stood slowly, the gummy armor flexing as he rose.

Ladybug scrambled to her feet, yo-yo ready. "Gavv?"

Cat Noir wiped a streak of dust from his cheek, a grin breaking through his mask. "Well, look who decided to join the party! Better late than never, right?"

Gavv turned his head just enough to acknowledge them with a nod, then focused on the Dodo Magia. The monster recovered instantly, its sensors analyzing the new threat with cold efficiency. It didn't care who stood in its way. It had a target.

Gavv heard noise above and saw the students gathered on the floor above, their faces pressed against the glass. He felt a familiar knot of apprehension tighten in his stomach.

Alya's phone was already up, recording everything. "Oh, my gosh, this is insane!" she exclaimed, her voice buzzing with excitement. "This is going to be a Ladyblog exclusive! And that robot thing is not an akuma!"

"It's like... a giant bird, but made of metal and angry," Rose whispered, her eyes wide, clutching Juleka's arm.

Juleka merely offered a quiet hum, her gaze fixed on Gavv. "It moved so fast," she murmured, her voice barely audible. "Faster than Ladybug, almost."

"This is way better than any video game boss fight," Max declared, adjusting his glasses, a focused intensity in his gaze. "Look at the armor on that thing. The articulation! It's structurally impressive."

Kim leaned over the railing, a competitive glint in his eyes. "Ladybug and Cat Noir need to step it up, or this new guy's gonna steal their spotlight."

Nino shook his head slowly. "That robot... it's not playing around, dude. Those slashes were serious."

"Daddy should have his bodyguards deal with this ridiculousness," Chloé sniffed, pulling Sabrina closer. "Honestly, the nerve of some villains, interrupting my school day."

Sabrina nodded vigorously. "Utterly ridiculous, Chloé. Just awful."

Mylène, meanwhile, looked pale, her hand covering her mouth as she watched the destruction unfold below. "It's so... scary," she whispered, a small tremor in her voice. "Jazik just ran down there."

Kim adjusted his beanie, a familiar nervous gesture he tried to mask with a confident smirk. "He must be okay, right? Jazik's tough." His voice, usually boisterous, was tinged with a rare hint of concern as he looked towards the empty corridor where Jazik had disappeared.

Rose, ever the optimist, clutched Juleka's arm, her bright eyes scanning the debris-strewn hallway. "I hope so," she murmured, her usual effervescence subdued by the lingering fear.

Juleka, quiet as always, offered only a soft nod, her visible eye fixed on the distant chaos. Ivan, ever the gentle giant, placed a large hand on Kim's shoulder.

"He's strong," Ivan rumbled, his voice a low, steady sound that seemed to cut through the general panic. "He'll be alright." The words were simple, but the quiet certainty in Ivan's tone offered a small measure of comfort to the scattered students.

The Dodo Magia's twin Buaruku Sabers flashed in unison, carving arcs of crimson energy through the air. Jazik, as Kamen Rider Gavv, parried the first with a grunt, his gummy armor flexing under the impact. The force sent a tremor up his arms, a jolt that vibrated through his very bones. He tried a swift counter, a jab from his Poppingummy Arm, but the Magia was impossibly fast, its feather-shaped blades intercepting his punch with a sharp CLANG. Sparks showered the floor.

"These things are on another level," Cat Noir grunted, his staff deflecting a low sweeping attack from the Dodo Magia's talon-like feet. He was clearly struggling to keep pace. Ladybug, meanwhile, had her yo-yo extended, trying to create distance, but the Magia's sheer speed and relentless pressure forced her back step by step. It anticipated their movements with an unnerving, calculated efficiency, its cyan optical sensors seeming to analyze their every intent before they even committed.

Gavv knew brute force wasn't the answer. The Dodo Magia was adapting to his gummy punches in real-time, its internal processors surely crunching data on his fighting style with every blocked attack. It gave him no room to think, no space to strategize. He was being pushed back, his own form feeling sluggish against the Magia's overwhelming speed and processing power. He could feel the heat radiating from its chassis, a testament to the advanced systems within.

Suddenly, the Dodo Magia broke its relentless assault on Gavv, spinning with astonishing speed toward Ladybug. Its Buaruku Sabers ignited with a brighter red glow, poised for a finishing blow. Ladybug reacted, whipping her yo-yo into a defensive arc, but it was a fraction too slow.

Before the blades could connect, Gavv surged forward. He didn't think; he just reacted. He turned, positioning himself between the Magia and Ladybug,

The Dodo Magia's strike landed squarely on Gavv's chest. A violent explosion of blue and magenta light erupted, the impact like a physical blow that slammed into his very core. The force of the attack sent him skidding backward, his specialized gummy armor groaning under the strain. Jagged cracks spiderwebbed across his chest plate, the translucent material shattering like brittle glass, exposing the matte black under-suit beneath. Jazik let out a strained groan, pushing himself up from the wall he'd slammed into. The pain radiated through him,

Ladybug scrambled to her feet, her yo-yo already spinning, a defensive arc against the Dodo Magia's blinding speed. "Kamen Rider! Are you alright?" she called out, her voice tight with a mix of concern and urgency. The candy-armored hero pushed himself away from the ravaged wall, his movements surprisingly fluid despite the earlier impact. He shook his head, a subtle gesture that felt more like clearing the ringing in his ears than a direct answer.

"I'm fine," he replied, his voice steady, though a slight strain underscored the words. He glanced at the Dodo Magia, which had regained its imposing stance, its cyan sensors locked onto him. "How do I take this guy down?"

As if summoned by his question, a small, crisp object materialized near his feet with a faint rustle. It was a Zakuzakuchips Gochizo, vibrating with an almost aggressive energy. It chirped, "Eat Snack! Eat Snack!" Jazik's eyes flickered down to the Gochizo, then back to the relentless Magia. He recognized the shift in purpose the chip represented. Poppingummy had been about balance and regeneration, a resilient defense. This one, however, felt different—sharper, more focused.

The Zakuzakuchip Gochizo was indeed specialized. It represented a tactical evolution, a counter to the Dodo Magia's dense, layered armor. While Poppingummy offered excellent defense and a degree of self-repair, this chip-based form promised piercing damage, the ability to bypass hardened defenses and shatter them with sheer precision. It was the logical next step, a weapon tailored for this specific, unfeeling opponent. Jazik knew, with a surge of grim determination, that this was what he needed.

[SNACK!]

Jazik didn't need further prompting. He scooped up the Zakuzakuchips Gochizo, its sharp edges feeling oddly comforting in his hand. He brought it to the waiting mouth of the Gavv organ on his abdomen. The blue lips parted, revealing the stark white teeth.

[EAT SNACK! EAT SNACK!]

The organ bit down, a firm, deliberate crunch echoing faintly. A bag of translucent, yellow-tinted energy formed around Jazik's body, snapping shut with a satisfying seal. Streams of energy, shaped like stylized potato chips with jagged, enticing edges, flowed into the growing sac. The Zakuzakuchips Gochizo itself dissolved into this energy, a final offering before it was consumed. The bag then burst outward, revealing the newly formed armor.

The Zakuzakuchips form was a complete shift from his previous combat mode. It was built for offense, sacrificing the easy regeneration of Poppingummy for a more aggressive, high-impact fighting style. The armor itself was segmented, resembling overlapping, razor-sharp potato chips, designed not just to deflect blows but to slice through them. Each piece seemed to hum with latent energy, promising a more brutal efficiency.

[ZAKU ZAKU CHIPS!]

[ZAKU ZAKU!]

The transformation completed with a final, crisp snap. Kamen Rider Gavv now stood fully armored in a striking palette of yellow and black, his jagged plating glinting under the harsh fluorescent lights. In his hands, the dual Zakuzakuchipslashers felt perfectly balanced, their wavy, sharp blades extensions of his newfound resolve. He spun them experimentally, the metal singing a low, sharp note. His stance shifted, becoming lower, more predatory, a stark contrast to his earlier, more fluid movements.
