Chapter 32 - Chapter 6-5

On the street below, Ladybug shoved Chloé forward with a firm hand.

"Run, Chloé, run!" Ladybug cried, her voice a sharp command.

Chloé and Sabrina, their faces pale with uncharacteristic fear, scrambled away down the boulevard, disappearing into the thinning crowds. Just as Ladybug turned to follow, a dark figure dropped from the afternoon sky, landing directly in her path. Cat Noir's posture was stiff, his usual playful grace replaced by an unsettling rigidity. A cruel, twisted smile touched his lips, a chilling parody of his genuine grin.

"Leaving so soon, My Lady?" Cat Noir taunted, his voice dripping with an unpleasant sarcasm. "Or are you afraid of me?"

"Cat Noir, please," Ladybug pleaded, her voice soft with a genuine sorrow. "I do not want to fight you."

Cat Noir recoiled as if burned by her words, his corrupted eyes flashing with something akin to revulsion.

"That sickening kindness… it's revolting," he snarled, his voice laced with pure malice. "We are certainly not friends, Ladybug. Never."

Ladybug looked at Gavv, her expression hardening with a quiet resolve.

"You go after Kim and protect Chloé," she ordered, her voice now steady and clear. "I will deal with the little kitty cat."

Gavv nodded once, a silent acknowledgment of her tactical choice. He understood the painful weight of her decision. Ladybug would confront her corrupted partner, bearing that difficult burden alone, while he pursued the primary threat. He turned and leaped away, a blur of blue and magenta armor, chasing after Dark Cupid's retreating form.

Gavv raced through the streets, following the faint, bitter trail of Dark Cupid's akuma energy. He rounded a corner, his enhanced vision immediately locking onto Chloé, sprawled on the pavement. She had tripped over a flower stand, scattering petals across the dirty sidewalk, a vibrant, if messy, contrast to her designer clothes. Her blonde hair, usually so pristine, was disheveled. Dark Cupid hovered over her, his dark wings beating slowly.

"You cannot outrun me," Dark Cupid laughed, a cruel, echoing sound.

Civilians, who had been trying to help Chloé, scattered further into the distance. Their fear was palpable. Dark Cupid lowered his bow, aiming a black arrow directly at her.

"It is time for you to get what you deserve," Dark Cupid announced, his voice filled with cold satisfaction.

Chloé, terrified and disheveled, looked up at him with wide, panicked eyes.

"My hair," she wailed, her voice surprisingly clear. "This is a bad hair day! This is the worst thing in the world!"

She looked directly at Dark Cupid, a flicker of her usual entitlement returning even in her distress. "Just change me already! It cannot possibly get any worse!"

Dark Cupid paused, his brow furrowing slightly, a flicker of confusion crossing his pale face. He lowered his bow, his cruel smile returning.

"I do not need to waste an arrow on you," he sneered, his gaze sweeping over her. "Your heart is so dark and shriveled that there is no room for love, only… this."

He gestured dismissively at her with a black-gloved hand. Dark Cupid laughed, a harsh, dismissive sound that bounced off the buildings. He then turned, his wings catching the wind, and flew away, leaving Chloé unharmed but utterly humiliated in the scattered petals.

Gavv watched the villain disappear, a strange mix of relief and… something else settling in his chest. That was certainly a unique form of karma. He landed quietly a few feet away, de-transforming in a shimmer of light. He folded the Poppingummy Gochizo into his pocket, the soft material a familiar comfort against his skin. Chloé was still on the ground, shouting insults at the empty sky.

"Daddy will hear about this!" she shrieked, her voice cracking with fury. "This is ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!"

She pushed herself up, brushing petals from her yellow jacket, her movements stiff with rage. As she stood, she bumped into Sabrina, who had just rounded the corner, her expression frantic.

"Sabrina, help me up!" Chloé demanded, her voice still dripping with her usual imperious tone. "Can't you see I'm completely disheveled?"

Sabrina did not move. She simply looked down at Chloé, her own face twisting into a slow, chilling smile. Her lips were a deep, bruised black, mirroring Cat Noir's corrupted state. She laughed, a harsh, unfamiliar sound that lacked any warmth or affection.

"There is no way I am helping someone as stuck-up as you," Sabrina announced, her voice flat and cold.

Chloé stared at her, her mouth slightly agape, unable to process the betrayal. Before she could form a response, Sabrina pulled out her phone. The camera flashed, capturing Chloé on the ground, surrounded by flowers, her hair a mess, her face contorted in disbelief.

"Wait till everyone gets a load of this!" Sabrina cackled, her voice high and gleeful. She then turned and ran off, disappearing down the street.

Chloé watched her only friend leave, the sound of Sabrina's mocking laughter echoing in the sudden silence. She was utterly alone, humiliated, and defeated. A raw scream of pure rage tore from her throat, a sound filled with frustrated fury.

Gavv watched the exchange from a nearby rooftop, a flicker of satisfaction crossing his features at the sight of Chloé getting her comeuppance. The mission was not over. He felt a gentle weight on his shoulder. A small, smooth creature with a rich brown color and a sweet smile—the Choco Gochizo—had appeared. It looked at him expectantly, its tiny form radiating quiet confidence.

"Let's go with you."

He reached for the Poppingummy Gochizo currently active in his Gavv organ. It popped out with a soft PLINK, looking tired as its translucent form shimmered faintly. He gently placed the Choco Gochizo into the organ's mouth. The mouth closed with a soft CLICK, and the teeth began to chew, a rhythmic, deep sound resonating through his core.

[EAT CHOCO! EAT CHOCO!]

The music shifted, becoming deeper and more rhythmic, like a steady drumbeat. A wave of thick, dark brown liquid chocolate swirled around Gavv, coating his armor. It hardened instantly, creating a new, sleeker silhouette. The liquid chocolate flowed over his body, forming segmented plates that resembled solid and melted chocolate bars. The helmet reshaped, the crest forming a sharp, angular shape like a chocolate bar, and the visor glowed a piercing yellow. The shoulder armor extended outward, flowing like a chocolate cloak.

SNAP

The transformation completed with a sharp, snapping sound.

[CHOCODAN! PAKIPAKI!]

Kamen Rider Gavv stood transformed into Chocodan Form. His armor was a deep, rich brown, accented with silver and black. The chest was sculpted to look like a partially melted chocolate bar, the facets catching the light. His limbs were covered in blocky, rectangular plates resembling chocolate chunks, giving him a solid, grounded appearance. The overall silhouette was that of a gunslinger, sleek and tactical, ready for ranged combat.
