After reaching the docks on another island, we drove for 4-hrs just to reach the city. As we entered the boundaries of the city, we were all amazed—except for Thomas, James and Jude. No one can blame us, we grew up in a small town by the sea. We don't see buildings like these as much as the city folks had.
As Thomas continued driving, we can't help but to react and point at different buildings that we pass by. "Where would we stay?" Asked Thomas as we stopped at a red light. "We-we know a place," said James. "Did someone already book us there?" Asked Thomas again. "N-no…" Jude answered, making Thomas quickly look back at them. "How will you expect us to pay then?!" Asked Thomas. All of us kept quiet because of his burst out. Yeshua held Thomas' shoulder making him look at Him then sighed deeply.
Then I remembered, "Mom and Dad gave me money to pay for our lodging," I said as I looked at them. "Problem solved." Said Matthew. "Lead me to the place then," said Thomas, then Jude and James gave him directions on how to go there.
We finally reached the place and already booked 3 rooms. When we got to our own rooms, Tabitha and I laid ourselves down on our beds. Finally, rest!"Maria?" Called Tabitha, making me look at her in the other bed, "Yeah?" I replied. "I thought your family had financial problems?" Asked Tabitha as she looked at me. I smiled then looked at the ceiling. "We did. But Yeshua happened," I answered, still with a smile on my face, remembering the day that I met Him. Who would've thought?"Shall we hang our gowns that we'll wear for tomorrow?" Asked Tabitha again, I quickly sat on the bed then looked at her.
I giggled then quickly ran towards my bag, and so did Tabitha. We both hang our gowns in the bathroom. "Shall we tell Teacher and the boys that our dinner is on me tonight?" Said Tabitha with a smile on her face. I quickly looked at her then giggled, "Come on!" I replied as I ran out the bathroom and took the keycard of our room.
Tabitha and I knocked on the first room of the boys. Jude opened the door and we saw Yeshua, James, and Matthew sitting on both beds and chairs. "Ah! Hello, friends!" Greet Yeshua with a huge smile on His face. I chuckled. "Shall we eat dinner now? My treat," said Tabitha happily, bringing smiles on their faces. They all agreed. Jude took the keycard and the four of them went out of their rooms.
As we got to the second room of the boys, before we could even knock, Thomas opened the door. "Knock it off!" I yelled as soon as we saw Jaime, John, Andrew, and Simon trying to knock each other out with pillows. "Please, keep me," said Thomas to Yeshua and the other boys. "You are most welcome in our room, Thomas," said Yeshua as He smiled at him then looked at those four brothers.
Tabitha and the boys are all speechless behind me. "You all better fix this room up and if there's ANYTHING BROKEN, YOU will be the ones to pay for it!" I yelled at them once again and the four of them panicked, making themselves bump into each other and began tidying up the room. "How do you even do that?" Asked Tabitha as she stood beside me while watching those four tidy up the room. "Oh, when you've known each other since childhood you definitely know what one another is capable of," I answered as I crossed my arms then walked inside the room. The rest also entered the room instead of loitering in the hallway.
"It'll be a lot faster if y'all helped us, you know," said Simon as he stopped cleaning. Jaime, John and Andrew abruptly stopped cleaning as well and looked at each other with fear in their eyes. "Simon!" the three of them called out Simon in sync. I glared at Simon and began walking towards him. The four of them began tidying up again. Before I could even reach where Simon is, a hand on my shoulder stopped me. I quickly uncrossed my arms and looked at who it was and saw Yeshua. Oh, no. Am I in trouble? Yeshua shook His head in response. And with that, I knew that His response is for my question and the action that I'm about to take.
