After Andrew, Jaime, John and Simon finished tidying up their room with the help of Jude, Thomas, and Matthew, we all went out of their room to find a place outside the inn where we could eat dinner.
After a few minutes of walking, we all agreed to eat in this one restaurant. Fortunately, they have a table for 11 people. "Hey, Tabitha, where'd you even get your money? Your parents aren't even with you," asked Simon, making us all look at Tabitha. Oh, this insensitive son of a b—"I'm a grown woman, Simon. I can provide for myself, if that's what you're asking." Answered Tabitha as she looked at him with coldness in her eyes. I held my breath for a few seconds because if I was the one Simon asked that question, I would've crashed out.
"Maybe that'll teach you a lesson about asking stupid questions, brother," said Andrew with a grin on his lips. "Not even Maria can shut Simon up," said John. Oh, this teenage boy!"Shut it. Just be thankful that we get to eat dinner tonight thanks to Tabitha," said Jaime. I slowly turn my head towards him and look at him with a proud smile. Finally! He spoke up!"I can't believe it!" Said Yeshua, making us all look at Him who's busy looking at the menu. "What is it, Teacher?" Asked James. Yeshua then looked at us with disappointment in His face, "They don't have pancakes," answered Yeshua as He put down the menu on the table.
Definitely all of us got confused. "Uh, Teacher," called Jude, making Yeshua look at him. "Yes, Jude?" Asked Yeshua. "It's evening—dinner time. They only offer pancakes every morning," said Jude to Yeshua. "But Alfeo's cafe offers it at any time of the day," said Yeshua. Wow, He really does like pancakes. Yeshua looked at me, "Of course I like pancakes. They're fluffy and tasty," said Yeshua, making all of them look at me. "What did you say in your mind, Maria?" Asked Matthew. "What?" Asked Tabitha. "Oh, right. Teacher can hear what we say in our minds," said John.
Tabitha then quickly looked at Yeshua with wide eyes and… she's blushing? "Are you okay, Tabitha?" I asked as I touched her forearm. Tabitha then quickly looked at me then blinked multiple times. "I-I'll tell you later," said Tabitha. "May I take your order?" Asked the waiter as he came near our table. All of us said our choices of food and Yeshua is the last one to speak.
After the waiter got our order, the boys began to chatter with each other again. Then I noticed Tabitha looking at Jaime and John's direction. Huh. Something's up. But I chose to stay quiet about it but then I looked away and saw Yeshua looking at me then nods. Oh, You know? I asked while still looking at Him. Yeshua nodded again. With a huge smile. Huge smile? Oh, something's definitely going good? I asked again, Yeshua just chuckled.
A little while later, our food came and we prayed and began eating. "Thank you so much for treating us, Tabitha," thanked Jaime with a smile while looking at Tabitha. She coughed a little then nodded. Her ears turned red then her cheeks. I just ignored it and continued eating. While I was chewing, a thought hit me like a truck. I choked. "Maria! Drink! Drink!" Said Matthew as he gave me a glass of water, I received the glass of water and drank it until I swallowed the food. "Thank you, Matthew," I thanked him as I put down the glass of water on the table.
"Why'd you choke?" Asked Simon. "I swallowed a huge chunk," I answered Simon, then all of them went back to eating. I quickly looked at Tabitha by my side with widened eyes then looked at Jaime and looked back at her. "Why? What is it?" Asked Tabitha while she's now looking at me. I smiled widely at her. "We're definitely got to talk later when we get back!" I said to her, still with a smile on my face.
