Chapter 12 - Bro, I Seriously Didn’t Use Genjutsu

"Damn it! What the hell is going on outside? Why is there so much noise?!" the three-headed Chief Justice roared in fury.

"Guards!"

"Someone explain the situation to me!"

"Chief Justice, there are pirates invading Enies Lobby!" a Marine who rushed in reported hurriedly. "They're currently wreaking havoc all over the island."

"What?!"

The Chief Justice shouted in disbelief. "Pirates actually daring to cause trouble here?!"

This was Enies Lobby—the judicial symbol of the World Government itself.

To attack this place meant declaring war on the entire world.

Did those pirates not understand that?

Or did they understand… and simply not care?!

"We don't know the full situation, but pirates have indeed broken in."

"Do we know who they are?"

"The only confirmed identity so far is Straw Hat Luffy."

"Straw Hat…" the head on the left thought for a moment. "Isn't that the pirate with a bounty of one hundred million Beli?"

Pirates with bounties over a hundred million occasionally caught his attention.

"Yes."

"Hah! A mere hundred million and he dares to rampage through Enies Lobby?!" the right head snarled. "Capture him! I'll personally put him on trial!"

"Then hurry and suppress him," the Chief Justice said coldly.

If only Straw Hat Luffy was truly dangerous, then there was no real threat.

This was Enies Lobby—nearly ten thousand troops stationed permanently here, plus CP9 guarding the island.

There was no chance of pirates breaking through.

Still, to avoid further losses, it was best to capture them as soon as possible.

"We're already trying," the Marine wiped sweat from his forehead. "But the intruders are extremely troublesome. It's not just Straw Hat who's dangerous."

Nearly the entire ten-thousand-strong garrison had been mobilized, yet they still couldn't suppress the chaos.

"BOOM!!"

A violent explosion shook the Judicial Tower itself, darkening the Chief Justice's expression.

"How disgraceful," he said icily.

"To let pirates rampage through Enies Lobby…"

"They really think having a bit of strength lets them run wild here?"

"They're probably here to rescue someone," the left head said. "Didn't CP9 return today? They brought two prisoners—Nico Robin and Franky. Straw Hat must be here for them."

"Fools who don't know their place!" the right head roared. "Once you enter Enies Lobby, you think you can still leave?! Kill them!"

"Kill them!"

All three heads shouted in unison, fury burning in their eyes.

"Don't worry about this place," the Chief Justice said. "Go deal with those pests immediately. If Straw Hat dares to come here, I'll cut off his head myself!"

"Yes, sir!"

After the Marine left, the Chief Justice sneered.

"Someone actually daring to attack Enies Lobby… truly the first time in eight hundred years."

"A bunch of reckless idiots."

"Just fools who don't understand the gap between themselves and despair," the right head said calmly.

"Heh. True."

Though no one had ever attacked Enies Lobby before, audacious pirates were never rare.

"Shouldn't we go stop them ourselves?" the left head asked.

"No need," the right head shook his head. "If we must act personally, then what's the point of having all those soldiers? If Straw Hat somehow makes it here, then we'll step in."

As judges of Enies Lobby, chasing intruders was not their duty.

"Hm?"

The three heads suddenly fell silent.

They listened closely—

Then all turned toward the side corridor at once.

A man in a vest was walking toward them from the end of the hallway, casually spinning a kunai on his finger.

"Yo… so you guys are the judges of this place, huh?" Jin said.

After glancing at their appearance, a hint of astonishment flashed through his eyes.

It was his first time seeing someone with three heads.

How did this thing even survive?

"Who are you?!" the Chief Justice demanded coldly.

"Why are you here?"

"You're clearly not from this island. Are you one of the pirates attacking Enies Lobby?" the left head asked.

"If you're a pirate, then you deserve death!" the right head roared.

Jin: ...

Talking to something this bizarre felt strangely surreal.

"…Do you guys ever argue with each other?" he suddenly asked.

Chief Justice: ???

"Uh… sometimes," the left head answered honestly.

"Hmph. When those two annoy me, I curse them out as well," the right head added.

"YOU IDIOTS!" the central head exploded.

"What nonsense are you spouting?! He's a pirate! Why are you answering his questions?!"

Where was their dignity as judges?!

The other two heads snapped back to their senses, instantly glaring at Jin.

"Bastard—this must be some strange trick you used!"

Jin's mouth twitched.

This time, he genuinely hadn't used genjutsu.

He had just asked casually—and they'd actually answered.

Honestly, people in the world of pirates were all born comedians.

"Pirate!" the Chief Justice drew his long blade. "How did you get in here?! The gates haven't even been opened!"

"Oh. For a ninja, this place is full of loopholes," Jin shrugged.

"Ninja?"

All three heads froze for a moment.

They clearly hadn't expected that answer.

The left head's eyes lit up briefly—then quickly cooled once he remembered this man was an enemy.

"You're from Wano Country?" the Chief Justice asked.

"No."

"Then you're a Devil Fruit user?"

"What do you think?" Jin shot back.

The Chief Justice shook his head.

"Honestly, I don't care whether you're from Wano or ate a Devil Fruit."

"I only need to know one thing."

"That you are my enemy."

With that, the Chief Justice leaped high into the air, landing not far from Jin.

"Evil pirate—now I shall deliver justice upon you!"

He swung his massive blade, his gaze turning frigid.

Since this pirate dared to walk before him—

He'd simply execute him on the spot!

"Evil…"

Jin's spinning kunai slowed.

He looked at the Chief Justice calmly.

"So that's how you judge me?"

"Of course!" the Chief Justice declared. "A pirate is evil by definition! And I shall eliminate you in the name of justice!"

"Justice… evil… always the same words," Jin said, picking at his ear.

"In the end, it's nothing more than a difference in position."

"And if you're truly just—then why is there so much treasure in your room?"

A faint, mocking smile appeared on Jin's face as he glanced at the increasingly stiff expressions of the three heads.

"Don't tell me that's your official salary as Chief Justice."

"What kind of judge earns that much gold and jewels?"

"Hm?"
