Chapter 13 - Justice

The Chief Justice stared darkly at Jin.

He clearly hadn't expected this man to have already slipped into his private chambers.

More importantly—

The gold, silver, and jewels he had hidden there had been discovered.

How had this man done it?

As if sensing his confusion, Jin said calmly, "I was targeting you from the start. I just happened to come across your room along the way."

For a ninja, searching a room was hardly difficult.

After discovering the treasure, Jin hadn't hesitated at all—he sealed everything into a storage scroll.

There was no reason to be polite to an enemy.

"Bastard! Those are stolen goods confiscated from pirates!" the right head roared. "How dare you touch them?!"

"Confiscated goods kept in your own room?"

"As a judge of justice, what's wrong with seizing pirate property?" the Chief Justice retorted.

Those riches were taken from pirates anyway. In his mind, there was nothing wrong with keeping a portion for himself—it was an unspoken rule here.

"Mm. Sounds reasonable," Jin nodded thoughtfully.

"Then confiscating your stolen goods is also perfectly reasonable."

"After all—we're enemies."

The Chief Justice's expression grew even darker.

Indeed, by that logic, the pirate's actions weren't wrong at all.

After all, the man before him was an evil pirate.

"No—he's bluffing," the left head said quickly. "Haven't you noticed? He's not carrying anything at all."

If he'd truly taken that much treasure, he'd at least need a large sack.

Yet the boy only held a small weapon in his hand.

"Believe whatever you want," Jin said, shaking his head.

Then his gaze sharpened.

"Enough talk. I'll give you a chance."

"Tell me where Nico Robin and Franky are, and I might consider sparing your lives."

"We'll give you a chance!" the right head snarled.

"Kneel down and beg for forgiveness. Then we'll grant you a quick death!"

"Then you should lie down first."

The instant the words fell, Jin vanished.

He reappeared directly before the Chief Justice and drove a brutal punch into his abdomen.

The Chief Justice's pupils shrank violently as he tried to counterattack—

But Jin was far faster.

"Take this!"

Bam!

The impact sent the Chief Justice flying backward.

Whoosh—!

BOOM!!

He smashed through part of the staircase, stone shattering on impact.

"Pfft—!"

Blood sprayed from his mouth, his face turning deathly pale.

He had never imagined that this seemingly slender young man possessed such terrifying explosive power.

For a moment, he'd nearly lost consciousness.

"Are you alright?!" the left head shouted.

"I… I'm fine…" the Chief Justice replied weakly.

"Evil pirate, I—"

"Enough with the nonsense," Jin cut him off.

Standing atop the stair railing, his Sharingan spun slowly as he looked down.

"Tell me. Where are Nico Robin and Franky?"

The moment the left and right heads met his gaze, their eyes went dull—like puppets with their strings cut.

"You think I'd ever tell—"

"Nico Robin is in the building behind this one. You—"

Chief Justice: !!!

He stared at his companions in disbelief.

They'd always been greedy, sure—but when it came to major principles, they had never betrayed the system.

What were they doing now?!

Selling out information to save their lives?!

"Bastards!!"

Before they could say another word, the Chief Justice surged forward.

He burst from within the robe, snatched the blade from the right head's hand, and swung it down.

Slash!

The left head was struck instantly, collapsing unconscious.

Without giving the other any chance to speak, he slashed again.

Slash!

Jin's eyelid twitched.

Wasn't this a bit too ruthless?

To prevent information from leaking, he directly cut down his own companions?

Jin glanced at the two fallen figures—then back at the Chief Justice.

His gaze turned strange.

So this wasn't a three-headed freak at all…

It was three people stuffed inside one robe.

What kind of nonsense was that?

Panting heavily, the Chief Justice leaned on his blade.

"Even… even if I don't know how you did it… you'll never get information from me…"

"Why bother?" Jin said quietly.

"I admit—I have my flaws," the Chief Justice said hoarsely.

"I tolerated those two taking a bit of money."

"But don't underestimate the justice I've upheld for decades, brat!!"

With a roar, the Chief Justice suddenly lunged forward, raising his blade high.

This strike held nothing back.

He knew his body wouldn't allow a second swing.

So this blow would decide life and death!

Clang—!

BOOM!

"W-What…?!"

The Chief Justice stared blankly.

Jin had appeared at his side in an instant—

And shattered the blade with a single punch.

That level of speed… that level of power…

So this was the strength of the pirate invading Enies Lobby.

No wonder the Marines reported being unable to suppress them.

If enemies like this were rampaging across the island, ordinary soldiers truly stood no chance.

Only CP9 could possibly stop them.

Clatter—

Fragments of the broken blade tore into the Chief Justice's body.

Already at his limit, he collapsed further.

Blood flowed down the stairs, pooling onto the carpet below—making the already crimson rug even redder.

His body slid slowly downward along the trail of blood.

"Perhaps the justice you carried for decades was heavy," Jin said softly, watching him.

"But… I also have reasons I cannot back down."

"Rest now."

He turned and walked away.

The Chief Justice had already said it—the Judicial Tower's rear building.

That was where Nico Robin was being held.

With that crucial information obtained, there was no reason to waste more time here.

Yet as Jin turned to leave, the Chief Justice's dim eyes suddenly regained a spark—like a final flicker before darkness.

"Brat!"

Jin paused, not turning around.

"Still want to struggle?"

"Heh… you won't succeed," the Chief Justice sneered weakly.

"Do you really think defeating me means you can save Nico Robin?"

"Do you know why Enies Lobby has stood unshaken for eight hundred years?!"

"Don't worry—someone will come to deal with you soon."

"And when that happens, what awaits you will be annihilation!"

"You mean CP9," Jin replied calmly.

"Don't worry. Their fate won't be much better than yours."

With that, Jin vanished.

The Chief Justice never heard those words.

The moment he finished speaking, his consciousness had already begun to fade.

In the few seconds that followed, memories of his life flashed before his eyes—

A life full of turbulence and pride.

"Teacher… my justice… never once faded…"
