Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Heaven-Slicing Wind

[Ding! Your Party has entered Zombie Street - Level 5.]

[Ding! Current Party Members: 3.]

[Ding! Tony Stark - Level 10, Myles Alexander - Level 5, Pepper Potts - Level 1.]

[Ding! A Party Quest has been issued!]

[Ding! Quest, Kill Zombies, is now available.]

[Kill Zombies]

Your Party has been tasked to hunt Zombies and kill them.

Task 1: Kill Zombies (0/1,000)

Task 2: Kill Undead King (0/1)

Reward:

1 Wind Spellbook

1 Water Spellbook

1 Hammer Skillbook

+200 EXP

+15 Stats

1 Accessory Box - Ring (Purple)

[Ding! You have been designated as the Party Leader.]

[Ding! All Party Quest rewards will be given to the Party Leader.]

[Ding! It will be at your discretion to reward the Party.]

[Ding! You can now adjust Party Settings!]

'Set target ratio: 33%-33%-33%', I immediately decided. I'm not one to be greedy when it comes to a Party. It's good to share the love around.

I was considering doing 20%-20%-60% with Pepper being the latter so she can catch up to Tony and I, but decided against it. We're all in this together.

But this is nice, Party Quests are a thing now!

It designated me as the Party Leader, since I own the Gamer System. I do not know if I can designate someone else as Party Leader, that remains to be seen. All rewards will be sent my way, and it will be up to me to decide on who gets what.

For the tangible rewards, anyway. The Party Quest is also going to give 200 experience points, and fifteen points for our Stats. Will the Gamer System split them automatically based on the ratio I just set?

Only one way to find out. Shinnnggg!

Pulling my two Zanpakuto out from my back, Pepper frowned. We were greeted with an eerie feeling. A feeling of dread.

We were brought to a dimly-lit street. A faint and foul odor wafted around.

"Where on earth are we?", Pepper asked.

"An Instance Dungeon. You might want to bring your weapon out.", I answered, keeping a serious look in my eyes.

"Tch. We really are in a crappy horror flick. Does this mean Zombies are real?", Tony asked.

"Zombies...?", Pepper asked, frowning this time.

"Yeah. You saw the name of the Instance Dungeon just now, didn't you? We're now in Zombie Street - Level 5. Your current Level is still 1, so don't head on in right away. We'll be fighting Zombies. There might be different kinds too.", I said.

"Before that, I'll bring out the weapon I made. Lo and behold!", Tony said, and did a similar motion to what I did with my Zanpakuto. Guess he learned that too.

A powerful, silver-clad hammer soon came into view. It even curved backward with a sharp point at its end. I bet he could even attack with it like that.

"Nice.", I said, complimenting Tony's hammer. Observe triggered, and I had a look at its details.

[Lightweight Tungsten Hammer]

A two-handed hammer built using tungsten, one of the heaviest, known elements in the world. It packs a punch, but with a stroke of luck, it became light as a feather.

Rank: Purple

+40% STR, +40% DEX, +30% VIT

Equipment Power: 1,000

Special Effect 1: Attaches the Lightweight Status to the weapon.

Special Effect 2: Grants Active Skill: Whirlwind.

Special Effect 3: Attack Damage using Hammers +20%. (This is after Perfectionist).

[Ding! Tony Stark's Attack Damage: 1438.]

Would you look at that? Tony's Attack Damage is already near mine. He managed to craft a Purple-Grade Equipment in just a single day. I'm sure he has many other failed experiments, or successful ones, and this is the best one he was left with. I could see that happening.

A tungsten hammer too. Trust me, you don't want to be hit with tungsten. It is much, much more condensed than iron or steel. It's infamous for being one of the hardest known metals known to man. And to think Tony managed to attach a Lightweight Status to that...

Basically, it's powerful, and Tony can swing it around with ease.

"You sure don't hold back.", I said, praising the weapon Tony made.

"Why would there be a need to do so? I have access to a lot of materials, kid. You'd be surprised how easily you can acquire them depending on the connections you have. It needs effort.", Tony said, letting his hammer rest over his shoulder.

It's still weird to see Tony Stark holding a hammer like this. I'm used to him as Iron Man, haha! If anything, it should be Thor using a hammer.

"Oh god, you're being serious here.", Pepper said, letting it dawn on her. The dimly lit street crackled with flickers of light. Some light posts would turn on, then back off, making the scene quite eerie. "We really are going to be fighting Zombies?"

"Yeah. No other way to explain it. Is it alright if I go first? I want to see how this dungeon is going to go. We have to kill a thousand of them. It might seem a lot, but we've three of us. Our Attack Damage is also quite high, so it shouldn't be hard to accomplish the task.", I explained.

"Be my guest.", Tony nodded.

"I'll go with what you said then.", Pepper said, also nodding her head.

Gripping onto my two Zanpakuto, Pepper retreated, and shifted toward the backline. Tony remained in the middle, with me at the front. All of this was foreign to Pepper, but to my surprise, after her initial surprise, she was acting quite calm now. She tightly held onto her pistol, ready to shoot at a moment's notice.

"Oh, I did want to talk about one more thing before we begin fighting, kid. Is time really stopped in this place?", Tony suddenly asked.

Taking a quick glance, I saw the timer was stopped on March 2nd - 10:30AM. It did not increase by a single second, so I nodded my head.

"Yeah, that really does seem to be the case here. How does that work out?", I asked.

"That'd take all day to explain, so I'll keep it simple. Time is relative. What happens here stays in here. Happy remained outside. By the time we finish, to Happy, it will be but a moment in time. It'll be like we vanished into the portal and then immediately come back out of it. That lines up to what happened yesterday, only having a moment to register what took place.", Tony said, showing an amused look in his eyes.

"Hmm, still quite a lot to take in.", I said, trying to unravel what Tony had just explained to me. We can spend an eternity inside these Instance Dungeons, but what happens outside of it, only a single moment will pass.

Figuring out how time works is a rabbit hole I don't know if I want to go down into. The Avengers get to deal with that during Endgame. Knowing Magic is real, there is the possibility of learning Time Magic, but do I want to go that route? I don't know.

"It is, so don't let your mind be in the gutter for too long. We should focus on what is ahead of us.", Tony suggested.

"Right.", I said, nodding in agreement.

"Ready when you are.", Pepper said from the back.

"Grrr..."

"Grrr..."

"Grrr..."

Shuffle. Shuffle!

Slow growl-like noises soon reached our ears with the sounds of feet slowly moving through the street before us. There were side pathways, likely where the Zombies could come out of. One after another ugly-looking Zombies soon came into view, appearing quite bloody and their bodies torn. Some even had their heads halfway torn off, making the scene rather grotesque.

Man, this was really ugly to look at, and not in a pleasant way. There's no censorship here! The stench of blood began to reek around us, making me want to plug my nose.

"Ugh, this is absolutely disgusting.", Pepper said, and frowned. "There's quite a few of them. I can't believe I'm seeing Zombies before my eyes. If they're anything like what happens in movies, don't let them bite you. Who knows what sort of diseases they could be carrying."

...Please don't bring that up, Pepper! I had already had to suffer a lot to obtain Poison Resistance! Then again, this would be a good chance to develop another similar Skill like Disease Resistance...

No. Ain't no way I'm getting bit by Zombies. No way!

I quickly let that thought vanish. Instead I saw one after another crawl onto the street. Gross. Their name tags soon came into view.

[Low Rank Zombie - Level 5 - x20]

[Low Rank Zombie - Level 6 - x9]

[Low Rank Zombie - Level 7 - x1]

Off the bat, thirty Zombies!

Observe automatically triggered, and their details came into view.

[Low Rank Zombie - Level 5]

A low-rank Zombie who only knows how to follow orders. Its attack speed is slow, but can hurt.

[Low Rank Zombie - Level 7]

A low-rank Zombie who knows how to follow orders. It is quite strong.

HP: 10,000/10,000

MP: 500/500

VIT: 50

DEX: 50

INT: 25

WIS: 25

LUK: 10

EXP: 50 Money: $50 USD

Active Skill: Deadly Bite, Binding Claw, Darkness Shot

Are those the stats of what Zombies should be? And that last one...Does it know Darkness Magic!?

Maybe I could find a way to acquire that, but nah. All I see are experience points in my eyes!

It wasn't just that, my eyes landed on the Money in particular. Money, here I come!

Half-jokingly, I did a very familiar motion with my Zanpakuto. There's...no way it's going to work, will it?

"Getsuga...Tensho!", I shouted, squaring away against the closest group of Zombies.

I know I didn't need to shout, but I felt like doing it. Bleach is an anime, and one they shout when they use a Skill! How could I not do the same thing here? Don't judge me!

"Uhh...kid?", Tony tried to ask, only to see nothing happen at first.

"Just give it a moment, d*mn it!", I cursed. Now that I think about it, doesn't it need Reiatsu to use these Skills? Would that automatically convert to MP, since the Zanpakuto are now tied to the Gamer System?

I don't want to get into the whole different kinds of energy business. Mana Points should be universal for the most part, so in theory, it should work!

[Ding! Through a special Action, a new Active Skill has been generated!]

[Ding! Active Skill, Tenpuzan (Heaven-Slicing Wind)(B) - Lv1 (0.0) has been added to your Status.]

Hummmm...Sparkle!

The pressure around us instantly changed. Before long, both of my Zanpakuto were clad in a bright, green light. Wait. Green? Wasn't Ichigo's yellow---!?

WOOOOSH!

[Ding! You used Active Skill, Tenpuzan (Heaven-Slicing Wind)!]

[Ding! Keen Precision has triggered! You have delivered critical blows!]

This new Skill continued on its own. A fierce and powerful wind suddenly whipped up all around us as the air began to churn in a frenzy. Two large beams slashed across the street. It was as if the entire street was being cleaved in half, but it wasn't to that extent.

Regardless, I saw a bunch of damage numbers appear over the thirty Zombies.

"Holy sh*t!", Tony exclaimed. "What did you do, kid?"

"Uhh, I attacked?", I said, glancing at Tony, but was secretly pleased that such an Action worked!

In the end, I didn't get Getsuga Tensho, but instead, I got a new Active Skill called Tenpuzan (Heaven-Slicing Wind). So cool!

Looking at the damage numbers, I was left surprised!

It was because of that new Active Skill. I took a second to look at it as the damage numbers continued.

[Tenpuzan (Heaven-Slicing Wind)]

Churning up a fierce wind that converges into your swords into a beam of light, you strike out against all targets in range, acting like the Heavenly Emperor carving through any form of Tribulation standing before you.

[-21,900!][-22,250!][-23,175!]

[-22,550!][-23,225!][-22,050!]

[Ding! Keen Precision failed against the Level 7 Zombie!]

[-8,250!]

The street suddenly turned quiet. No more growling. The taste of iron intensified, it smelt terrible. Thankfully, twenty-nine of the thirty Zombies went poof, and the loot came rolling in. I wasn't done, though.

"Hold that though. There's still a straggler.", I said, quickly rushing through the street.

My figure vanished, and I rushed toward the larger Zombie that towered over the rest. The Level 7 one. It had a dark aura wrap around its torn hands as it attempted to attack me with [Darkness Shot], but I didn't let it finish its attack. I simply dodged to the side, and slashed out with both Zanpakuto.

BAM!

The two swords sliced through the Zombie's body as if it was butter. I didn't have a need to use another Active Skill here. A single attack was all that was needed to deliver the final blow.

[-2,000!]

Shaaa...

The last Zombie's death woes cried out in the street, and it vanished from sight. I did a motion of my Zanpakuto, and flung off any blood left on the blades.

Just like that, all thirty Zombies were defeated!

"That was something.", Pepper said. She didn't know what to feel here. She wasn't used to combat.

"You can say that again. Nice work, kid. There's still a long way to go.", Tony said, nodding in agreement.

"You're right on that, Tony. But here comes the best part~", I said, making the Hulk grin at the two.

The experience, loot, and money came rolling in!
