Chapter 2 - Getting my bearings

Walking around in this deserted landscape, I Struggled to find any semblance of life whatsoever, I knew that there might be nothing but I was at least expecting a ruined village or an oasis but nada. One thing that is beneficial about this island is the abundance of magicules in the air and earth

"Well, on to plan B." I walked back to the beach and decided test the limits of my skills. I held my hand out and instantly I created a large amount of clay, Which unfortunately garnered the attention of something…unpleasant.

The ground beneath me rumbled and out came a gigantic sandworm. "Finally a living creature, now I can test myself out in battle." I was really excited but as the sandworms large mouth got closed, my excitement turned into imidiate panic. "Ahhhh!!"

"Not now you ass, I'm about… to die?" I looked back at the continuously burrowing sandworm, it's movements were in a word, "…so slow."

"I guess I underestimated myself." Not only was the worm moving slow to me due to 'thought acceleration' but as an enlightened human, my body could keep up with my mind… some what keep up that is.

I decided to go on the attack, I immediately created a gauntlet out of thin air and strengthened it using 'galvanise'. I jumped up to sandworms incoming jaw, using 'Blasphemer' to ignore air resistance and punched as hard as I could. I pierced straight through the sandworm causing his head to explode. "Whoa, that's cool." I saw the exploded corpse fall but I realized, the ground was getting further away, I was still falling away.

Because I erased any form of air resistance around me, I wasn't slowing down from the initial jump. I deactivated it and gravity immediately acted upon me in which I immediately activated Blasphemer on my own momentum and fall gracefully to the ground.

"I'may uckingfay mazingay." I immediately ran towards the corpse, which I overshot by a lot and fell straight on my face.

"I SERIOUSLY underestimated myself." I knew I wasn't weak but jeez, I used magic sense, True self and Visionary to assess my own body. By my calculation, it seems that the world reincarnated me as a peak enlightened meaning in close to the level of an incomplete saint, which also means I'm close to breaking through…probably.

I immediately went over to the corpse and created a glass dome around it. The desert sun immediately started cooking that shit, I removed the glass dome and the smell hit my nose like a bitch. "Smells like shit, at least I don't have to eat that often." I took a bite and endured the slightly burned taste, trying not to vomit.

Immediately after that sorry excuse of a meal. I began to make a checklist of stuff to do… sike.

Even as an top engineering student. I didn't like to plan, I didn't like to think, I just do.

I had initially created clay to help the arid soil but instead I realized that I could just make the soil fertile. I made a massive chunk of the land next to the beach into fertile soil.

Secondly I created two massive holes and surrounded each in glass panes in different ways, one I surrounded entirely in glass and the other had the top open. Then I dug out a path between the two hole and the sea, the first hole will heat up to create clean drinking water and the second with glass everywhere but the top will be heated up so that I can put so moisture into this goddamn atmosphere.

Will it work? I don't know, I'm just pulling stuff out of my ass. My hope is that heating enough water will at the very least create clouds. I know that rain won't help that much as I would have to find a way to cool down the air myself. So I tried my first instance of aspectual magic. So I closed my eyes and imagined the image of fire having snow thrown on it, I had expected to find a block of ice in front of me but when I opened my eyes, I was in the eye of a hurricane-like blizzard, when I gestured for the blizzard to stop, it vanish and I could feel the air around me cool to an immense degree.

[Acquisition of extra skill:chant annulment…successful]

'Huh, pretty useful.' I was astounded both by the skill I had just gotten and the and mid-level disaster I had just created which caused a realization to dawn on me. "You know, I never actually checked how much magicules I have." I checked my own body which had a ton of energy erupting out of me. I'd say it's a lot but I don't have a good comparison to measure against.

I had finally opened my eyes to the night sky.

"Beautiful." I said in a mesmerising daze. "I guess my first day in this world has come to an end" I took a lie down onto the hard rocky floor and closed my eyes.

'Tomorrow is another day.'

--------somewhere in the frozen continent----------

"Why don't go to your bed Dino?" The red-haired man asked someone who was too sleepy to even look up at him.

"It's too far away, I'll just be here. Why are you here right now" The white-haired lazy man named Dino asked.

"I'm contemplating something that happened today." The red-haired man said while taking a seat.

Dino opened his eye to look at his friend and with a touch of seriousness, he asked the question on his mind, "You felt it too Guy. That spatial anomaly that appeared in the sky?"

The man, no, demon named Guy Crimson looked down at his lazy friend, "You're underestimating the severity of this 'anomaly', whatever that was punched a hole in the world."

"Seems like your job got harder." Dino said in a lazy tone.

Suddenly the door opened and in came a maid with green hair, "Guy, I have returned with a report."

Dino has a very confused face, which Guy notices, "I asked Misery to investigate, the moment it happened. What have you found?"

"I believe the…'hole' that was made came from an otherworlder." Misery reported expressionlessly.

Dino was so surprised, he actually sat up…a little bit and Guy had a bit of a smirk, "An otherworlder? What makes you think so?"

"The rift appeared above the island inbetween us and the kingdom of ingrassia, and on that lifeless island, I say a human, furthermore this human has shown the characteristics of an otherworlder such has unfamiliarity with the world aswell as a vast pool of magicules."

Guy simply contemplated for a second before deciding, "Misery, tomorrow, when that human awakes, give him a personal visit, observe and assess him however you see fit."
