*BOOM—*
Thunder roared and lightning flashed. Pretty Boy seemed enveloped in electric bolts. Over his original vibranium armor, a layer of crackling lightning armor materialized, making him look awe-inspiring and majestic. The dazzling light, like a god descending upon the mortal realm, forced Tony and the others to squint.
Pretty Boy tested the weight of **Mjolnir**, his expression relaxed.
The hammer, which felt as heavy as a mountain in the hands of others, was as light as a feather in his grip, seemingly weightless.
After absorbing a massive amount of lightning power, Pretty Boy's eyes began to glow with an electrifying intensity. He let out a roar.
Lifting the hammer toward the sky, Pretty Boy unleashed a torrent of lightning from **Mjolnir**, churning the clouds and wind into a chaotic storm.
The spectacle was magnificent. At this moment, Pretty Boy had completely mastered the lightning, even surpassing Thor at his peak.
The reason was simple: Pretty Boy himself was a Titan.
Mother Earth Gaia was actually a Titan. She had not only given birth to the ancient Titan god Zeus but also to the Titan giants.
Gaia gave birth to Uranus, the God of the Sky, and together they had six sons and six daughters. These twelve Titan gods, along with three Cyclopes and three Hecatoncheires, marked the beginning of the world.
Furthermore, many Titan Beasts were also conceived by Gaia.
Cronus became the second-generation King of the Gods by overthrowing his father, Uranus. When he overthrew Uranus, the enraged Uranus uttered a curse-like prophecy to Cronus: Cronus would also be overthrown by his own child.
Terrified by this prophecy, Cronus swallowed each of his children, born to his sister and wife Rhea, immediately after their birth. When their sixth child was born, Rhea resolved to protect him. She wrapped a stone in cloth and claimed it was the newborn baby; Cronus swallowed the stone without hesitation. Thus, Zeus escaped his fate and was sent to be raised by his uncle and aunt, Oceanus and Tethys of the Twelve Titans.
Upon reaching adulthood, Zeus united with his siblings to overthrow Cronus's rule, becoming the third-generation King of the Gods.
It could be said that patricide is a traditional event in Greek mythology.
Unfortunately, Zeus made the mistake of provoking God-General, which ultimately led to the Greek pantheon's complete withdrawal from the historical stage.
Come to think of it, Godzilla, Pretty Boy, and Mothra—along with Zeus, Odin, and the other gods created by Gaia—all share a bloodline.
It was precisely because Pretty Boy had undergone an atavistic regression, awakening his Titan Power, that he could effortlessly break Odin's secret spell and lift Mjolnir.
"Oh my god!"
Seeing Pretty Boy's domineering posture as he held Mjolnir aloft, Jane's face was a mask of disbelief.
Jane's father and Coulson and the others were also dumbfounded.
The Three Warriors of Asgard and Sif looked as if they had seen a ghost.
"No!!!"
Thor looked as if someone had just snatched his wife away in public, his eyes filled with grief and indignation.
*Mjolnir is mine! MINE!*
*The divine power is also mine!*
"It shouldn't be like this!!!"
"This is too hard! Father, why must you treat me this way?"
Thor howled at the sky, tears streaming down his face.
His heart ached.
It was so painful, he wanted to cry!
Pretty Boy consoled him, "Don't be sad, kid. This hammer is too heavy, you can't handle it. I'll give it back to you when I'm bored of playing with it."
*Thank you so fucking much!*
Thor desperately wanted to rush over and slam the hammer down on Pretty Boy's head, but his last shred of reason told him that charging in would only get him beaten up.
*I won't get angry. If I do, I'll just make myself sick and no one will take care of me!*
Muttering to himself, Thor reluctantly withdrew his gaze, suppressing the bleeding wound in his heart as he turned to Sif and the others. "We're returning to Asgard!"
Fandral snapped out of his daze and said worriedly, "But you don't have your divine power. It's dangerous to go back."
"As long as I can see Father King, he will definitely find a way to restore my lost power."
At this point, Thor had no choice but to gamble.
Even if he were to die, he wanted to die in his homeland, in battle, rather than choose to flee.
The only thing Thor couldn't let go of was his new girlfriend, Jane.
However, with Asgard in peril, Thor knew this was no time for romantic sentiment.
Thor finally stood with the Three Warriors of Asgard and a jealous Sif.
"Wait a minute, Donald."
Coulson called out the name Thor had been given on Earth, then asked, "Are you all returning to the legendary Asgard?"
Although Thor had not lifted Mjolnir, the behavior of Volstagg and the others had already convinced Coulson of Asgard's existence.
Faced with an extraterrestrial power far beyond Earth's capabilities, avoiding conflict was the best option. Thus, Coulson decided to talk with Thor, hoping to at least ease tensions and prevent them from settling scores later.
Raven and her team might not have been afraid, but S.H.I.E.L.D. lacked such confidence.
Thor had a good impression of Coulson. He nodded. "Yes, we all have our own missions. You can consider me an ally, but only if you first return what you took from Jane."
"It was stolen," Jane corrected.
When they had first discovered Thor, the Thunderer, had been cast down to Midgard, they had used their instruments to collect a great deal of data. But when the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents arrived, they had simply taken it without asking—no different from thieves or bandits.
Coulson quibbled, "We borrowed it. No problem, we'll return it."
Thor looked at Jane. "You wanted to see the Bifrost with your own eyes, didn't you? Now you can."
Thor raised his head to the sky and shouted, "Heimdall!"
"..."
After a moment's wait, the clouds drifted calmly. Nothing happened.
Everyone else turned to Thor.
Tony smirked. "Louder, Thor. I can't hear him. He can't hear you."
Thor looked awkward. "He's sometimes late."
"Heimdall!"
Thor called out again, but there was still no response.
Sif and the others sensed something was wrong. Heimdall could monitor the Nine Realms, and since he had chosen to help them find Thor, he wouldn't just ignore Thor's call.
Sif joined in, "Heimdall, teleport us back!"
"..."
Unfortunately, even though Sif was Heimdall's sister, she still received no answer.
Volstagg asked in confusion, "What's going on? Could Heimdall be asleep?"
"Impossible. Heimdall doesn't need sleep. Something must have happened!" Fandral said worriedly.
Sif and Thor exchanged a glance. "It's Loki!"
Loki was always causing trouble, so whenever something went wrong, he was their prime suspect.
(Loki, drifting in space, cursed up a storm, refusing to take the blame for this one.)
***
Although the Three Warriors of Asgard and Sif hadn't lost their divine powers, they had been tricked by Han Shaoqing into coming to Earth. Now, to return to Asgard, they would either need to board a spaceship, find a spatial portal to one of the Nine Realms, or simply hope Han Shaoqing was in a good mood.
By impersonating Loki, Han Shaoqing now held absolute power over Asgard.
However, he had no interest in conquering the Nine Realms.
Only "clocking in" could bring him true joy.
