Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Changes in the Body

"What happened to me?"

After waking up, Artoria curiously looked around. A blade of lush green grass slid from her shoulder. She had no memory of what had happened before; she only felt that something extra had appeared on her head. However, since her neck hurt from sleeping, she didn't pay much attention. Returning to the Base in a daze, Artoria realized something was wrong. Her strength seemed to have increased; when she went to pick up a water cup to drink, she directly crushed the tempered glass cup. This was something that could never have happened before.

"What on earth is going on?"

Looking gloomily at the water stains on her body, Artoria used mana to clean her clothes and turned her gaze to a nearby monitor. From the reflection on the screen, she clearly saw that ahoge, which defied the law of universal gravitation, swaying majestically in the air as if showing off its presence to her.

"What exactly happened?"

Artoria looked at the ahoge on the display screen with a bewildered expression. She remembered that she didn't have such a thing, did she? How did it suddenly appear? Had she awakened something incredible?

"Gurgle~~!"

She felt so hungry, like she could eat a whole cow. She hadn't felt hungry just now, so why was she suddenly so famished it was alarming? It felt like it was going to be the Death of her. No matter what was happening, Artoria had only one thought: she had to eat.

"saturday, order me one of every large meal available—no, make it ten of each. Be quick."

"master, Gluttony is not good for you."

"Just do it."

"Yes, master."

saturday had been learning well lately and seemed to be evolving to think like a human. But now was not the time for Artoria to be joyful. The changes in her body made her mood not particularly good. What exactly had happened? Artoria still didn't understand whether this was a bad thing or a good thing.

"Munch, munch! So delicious."

On the large table, mounds of food slowly began to disappear. Artoria, who was already starving, didn't care about the etiquette she had learned over the years. Anyway, no one was there to watch her eat; the food was brought in by small robots. The chefs would probably only wonder why so many people had come today. They had no idea that all of this was being eaten by just one person.

"About eighty percent full."

Putting the last piece of steak into her mouth, Artoria took a breath and felt the hunger in her stomach vanish. Having been satisfied, Artoria began to think. What exactly happened while she was asleep? After thinking for a moment, Artoria projected her consciousness into her mind. She was surprised to find that the black and white figures that had been standing by the pool were gone. She looked again; they were indeed gone.

"Is this a complete fusion?"

"Are the abnormalities in my body the product of fusion?"

She went over what she considered the most plausible reason in her mind; she could only convince herself this way.

"Let's do a pull!"

Since she was here, Artoria planned to spend some currency on a gacha pull. She felt an inexplicable sense of ease, as if something had been unlocked. Unlike the previous dozen or so years of her life, she no longer felt a sense of oppression, as if someone were suppressing her luck. Now it was different.

As if confirming Artoria's thoughts, a brilliant light flashed within the blue pool, and a massive warship full of sci-fi colors appeared. Its name was the 'hyperion'.

"the pool is still skewed."

Seeing such a warship, Artoria's first reaction wasn't to cheer, but to silently complain. Over the years, she had seen this pool have issues quite often. The first pull yielded the 'Eight Inner Gates'. Sometimes she wanted to ask the FGO staff if they could put more heart into it. Even a Lucky Bag could produce a few Darius; wasn't that infuriating? At least this was very useful to her; with some modifications, she could travel in Space. It would be perfect for finding that Power Stone, wouldn't it? As for things like '500-Year Obsession', please don't give me so many, thank you. And that Origin Bullet, I don't need it either, stop sending it to me, thank you.

I have a whole bundle of Black Keys here; I could make a fortune selling them for scrap metal. And those Sealing Scrolls and Kunai, there are too many. Explosive Tags are still worth appreciating, though.

"saturday."

"At your service, master."

"Find me a colossal underground cavern—two hundred meters high, three kilometers wide. I'm launching the Space program."

"Yes, master."

After drawing a few useful Water and Lightning jutsu, plus some Honkai bunny plushies called 'Homu,' Artoria exited her mindscape. She glanced at the eerily grinning rabbit doll, tossed it straight into the trash—she'd wanted Bronya, not a bunny—then gave saturday its orders.

The hyperion was simply too big; she had saturday locate an open expanse so her tech crew could retrofit it for spaceflight. Still, she preferred the 'Lunar Throne'—another fine warship. Forced to choose, she'd pick Anti-Entropy.
