Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 China’s Ultimate Weapon?

Early in the morning, at the Shinshinkai dojo.

Sweat dripped continuously onto the wooden floor, forming small puddles.

Kaiou Retsu finished his stance, white mist rising from his body, his entire body covered in sweat.

He closed his eyes to regulate his breathing, circulated his qi with both hands, then suddenly threw a crushing punch, sending sweat splashing all over the dojo in an instant.

After throwing a punch, he slowly retracted his stance, Kaiou Retsu turned to look at the sandbag behind him, gently placed his palm on the sandbag, and closed his eyes to circulate his qi.

"Ugh!" Kaiou Retsu opened his eyes, his pupils trembling.

"The things inside aren't sand." He stepped back with his foot, swung his right shoulder, and delivered a hand chop.

"Thud." The surface of the sandbag was cut open, revealing a wad of cotton and an unconscious Kato Kiyosumi inside.

"Ka… Kato!" Kaiou Retsu hurriedly pulled Kato Kiyosumi out of the sandbag, finding him covered in injuries, his breathing so faint it was almost imperceptible.

The most critical injury was the ligature mark on Kato Kiyosumi's neck; though deep, it didn't touch the main artery, clearly indicating the assailant had no intention of taking his life.

"Call an ambulance!" Kaiou Retsu shouted towards outside the dojo, while quickly checking Kato Kiyosumi's injuries; his right wrist was twisted at a strange angle, clearly broken by force.

Such cruel injuries made Kaiou Retsu more and more alarmed the more he looked.

From head to toe, Kato Kiyosumi had no uninjured spot; various injuries of different sizes covered him.

However, the person who crippled Kato Kiyosumi had no intention to kill; each injury was just enough, purely driven by a playful mindset. This cruel method, combined with the familiar ligature mark, all pointed to one person: the Death Row Inmate Dorian!

"Dorian!" Kaiou Retsu gritted his teeth. He carefully laid Kato Kiyosumi flat on the floor and began first aid.

After confirming there were no spinal or pelvic fractures and no need for tracheal intubation, Kaiou Retsu could only elevate Kato Kiyosumi's legs and adjust his head position, buying him time for rescue.

The students in the dojo were in a chaotic state; some ran to make phone calls, others brought a first-aid kit. Katsumi Orochi rushed over upon hearing the news and instantly turned pale at the sight.

"Kato-senpai!" Katsumi knelt beside Kato Kiyosumi, his hands trembling, afraid to touch the terrible wounds.

"Who did this?"

"It was Dorian! Only that Death Row Inmate would use such a cruel method."

Katsumi's fist slammed heavily onto the floor, and the wooden planks immediately cracked in several places.

"That bastard! I will personally kill him!"

"Wee-woo! Wee-woo!"

The ambulance siren grew from distant to near, and paramedics rushed into the dojo, quickly lifting Kato Kiyosumi onto a stretcher.

"Kato! Kato-senpai!" Everyone stood downstairs with heavy expressions, seeing off Kato Kiyosumi and watching the ambulance drive away… At 8 AM, in front of the Tokyo Den High School gate.

Allen saw a group of media reporters from afar, holding various cameras and blocking the school entrance.

He frowned, about to take a detour, when a sharp-eyed reporter spotted him.

"It's Allen!" The reporter shrieked and rushed over, the microphone almost poking his face.

"There are rumors circulating that you came to Japan to hunt Death Row Inmates. Regarding this, I'd like to ask for your thoughts." A reporter with an entertainment logo asked Allen.

"Uh…" This question left Allen at a loss for how to answer for a moment.

Fortunately, several police officers in uniform appeared just then. They walked up to the news reporters, and the leading senior police officer held a document and said,

"Please do not make it difficult for our Tokyo Police Department Special Operations Unit consultant."

"Some things, you have no right to know. If you want to ask, please ask something else."

"Huh?" Allen looked at the police officer in confusion, completely unaware of when he had become a consultant for the Tokyo Police Department.

And that senior police officer even winked at him, as if showing off to Allen how good his performance was.

The reporters became even more excited at the sight, flashbulbs constantly flashing, and various questions came one after another.

If you don't let us ask about this, then we can ask about other things!

"Lin-san, when did you become a police consultant?"

"As a consultant for the Police Department's Special Operations Unit, what is your salary and benefits like?"

"Allen-san, I heard your martial arts are very strong. Now the students of Tokyo Den High School all call you the ultimate weapon of China, the Soaring Azure Dragon, and that in your confrontation with the Death Row Inmate Doyle, it was a pure crushing victory. Are you truly China's ultimate weapon?"

Allen: o.O

"Honestly, I admire your ability to ask such strange questions with a straight face." Allen nodded, acknowledging the reporter's professional skill.

Seeing that Allen did not deny the fact that he crushed the Death Row Inmate Doyle, the media present immediately lit up; this was a big story that could generate buzz.

Immediately after, they began to probe for various information, giving Allen a headache.

"Excuse me, I need to go to school." Allen finished speaking, waved to the reporters, and walked towards the gate.

"Are you really not going to say more? We are willing to pay!" The reporters present were still unwilling to give up, but seeing the police officers blocking the gate, they could only leave the scene.

After Allen entered the school, the senior police officer quickly caught up, leaned in, and whispered,

"Mr. Lin, hello, my name is Yamamoto Kondo, you can just call me Kondo."

"Regarding the Death Row Inmates… we are very grateful."

Allen finally understood why the police came to him; it was because he had subdued the Death Row Inmates.

"Um, about being a consultant?"

"It's just in name. We will send you the location of the Death Row Inmates as soon as we have it. Going or not is up to you, and you'll still receive your salary without having to come to work."

"The salary is the same as Police Chief Matsumoto's, and you can mobilize the police at any time." Kondo finished, feeling it wasn't enough, and quickly added another sentence. His expression was a bit nervous, afraid that Allen would reject the conditions offered by the police department.

Allen nodded: "Sounds good."

Kondo's face showed a joyful expression, and he quickly handed over a business card: "I'm Kondo from the investigation division. Please contact me anytime if you need anything."

Allen took the business card, put it in his pocket, and walked towards the teaching building.

As soon as he entered the classroom, he saw Baki leaning by the window, winking at him with a look of schadenfreude.

"Looks like you're famous, ultimate weapon." Baki's lips curled up, an uncontrollable smile on his face.

Allen tossed his backpack onto his desk and shrugged helplessly: "Those reporters are much more troublesome than Death Row Inmates."

Just as Allen was speaking, the classroom fell silent, and the students' gazes collectively focused on Allen.

Amidst the whispers of the crowd, the principal, homeroom teacher, and teachers like Fujita and Yamamoto walked into the classroom carrying generous gifts and placed them on Allen's desk.

The gifts piled up, quickly becoming taller than Allen himself.
