Chapter 243 - Chapter 242 5 th month

The 5th Month "Loop": A 2,000% Emotional Rollercoaster

[Author's POV]

If the fourth month was a "Storm," the fifth month was a "System Paradox." Jay's hormones hadn't just peaked; they had become sentient and decided to play "Ping-Pong" with her personality.

Keifer was no longer just the CEO; he was a full-time "Emotional Technician." By 8:00 PM, the man looked like he had run a marathon through a minefield. His tie was gone, his sleeves were rolled up, and his "Data-Driven" brain was officially fried.

Phase 1: The "Pure Devotion" (8:00 PM)

[Jay's POV]

I was sitting on the sofa, watching Keifer look through some files. Suddenly, the way the lamp light hit his jawline made my heart feel like it was melting into a puddle of 1,000% pure syrup.

"Keifer..." I whispered, my eyes filling with tears of joy. "You are the most perfect man in the history of the universe. How did I get so lucky? You're so handsome, and you're going to be such a good Daddy to our Prince and Princess."

[Keifer's POV]

I looked up, cautious. "Thank you, Weify. I'm just doing my best to secure the—"

"No, don't talk!" Jay lunged at me, wrapping her arms around my neck and burying her face in my shoulder. "You're so warm. I love you so much. I want to stay like this for a billion years. You're my 1,000% soulmate."

I relaxed, stroking her hair. "I love you too, Jay. Everything is synced."

Phase 2: The "Sudden Fury" (8:01 PM)

[Jay's POV]

As I hugged him, I smelled it. A faint, microscopic scent of mint from his tea.

I pushed him away so hard he nearly fell off the sofa. "ARE YOU SERIOUS right now, Keifer?! Mint?! You know the Prince and Princess hate mint! Are you trying to 'Signal-Jam' my senses? You're so selfish!"

"Jay, I just took one sip—"

"YOU'RE ALWAYS DOING THIS!" I shouted, standing up (which was more of a dignified waddle). "You think just because you're the CEO you can breathe whatever scents you want in my presence? You're a dictator! A Mint-Dictator!"

Phase 3: The "Deep Despair" (8:02 PM)

The anger vanished as quickly as it came, replaced by a crushing weight of sadness. My lip started to tremble.

"Oh my god," I wailed, collapsing back into the cushions. "I'm a monster! I just called the father of my twins a 'Mint-Dictator'! You're going to hate me! You're going to leave me and the babies and marry a woman who likes mint and doesn't have a stomach the size of a planet!"

[Keifer's POV]

I blinked, my brain trying to keep up with the 180

turn. I scrambled to her side, grabbing her hands. "Jay, no! I don't even like mint! I'll ban mint from the estate! I'll delete the mint files from the grocery list! Please don't cry, Weify!"

"I'm so ugly!" she sobbed into my shirt. "I'm a giant, crying, mint-hating boulder!"

Phase 4: The "Euphoric Happy" (8:04 PM)

I reached for a tissue, but my hand accidentally brushed against a bowl of Cheetos on the coffee table. Jay froze. She looked at the orange bag, then at me.

A radiant, 2,000% bright smile broke across her tear-streaked face.

"OH MY GLOW! CHEETOS!" she chirped, her eyes sparkling as if she'd just won the lottery. "Keifer, you're a genius! You're the best Hubby ever! Let's watch a comedy and eat the whole bag! I'm so happy! Life is 1,000% perfect!"

The "Tired" CEO: [Author's POV]

Keifer sat there, frozen in a kneeling position on the floor. He looked at the Cheetos, then at his wife—who was now humming a happy tune and crunching loudly—and then at the clock.

Only four minutes had passed.

Bridget walked by the doorway, stopped, saw Keifer's shell-shocked expression, and let out a snicker. "How's the 'System Sync' going, Boss? You look like you've been hit by a train."

"It's not a train, Bridget," Keifer muttered, slowly sitting back on his heels and rubbing his face with his hands. "It's a 'Multitasking Emotional Overload.' I don't know if I'm being kissed, yelled at, or fed a Cheeto. My 'Processor' is at 99% usage."

"Well, buckle up," Bridget teased, leaning against the door. "Mamma says the sixth month is even more 'Interactive'."

Keifer looked at Jay, who was currently laughing at a commercial on TV while trying to put a Cheeto on her nose. Despite the exhaustion, a small, tired smile tugged at his lips.

"1,000%," he whispered to himself. "I'm exhausted... but the 'Glow' is worth the crash."
