The "Queen's Court" at 6 Months: The Aurora Audit
[Jay's POV]
Now that Aurora had mastered the "High-Speed Crawl," the Watson Mansion had officially become her personal "Corporate Headquarters." At 6 months old, she wasn't just a baby; she was a tiny, silk-clad General who had discovered that the entire family was a "Resource" to be managed.
It was Sunday brunch, and the "Squad" was gathered. But nobody was eating. Everyone was too busy waiting for "Management Approval."
Target 1: The "Tech Support" (Keigan)
Keigan was trying to enjoy a croissant while checking his tablet. Aurora crawled across the room at 2,000% velocity, reached his leg, and used his expensive trousers to pull herself into a "Standing Support" position.
She looked at the tablet, then looked at Keigan, and let out a sharp, demanding "EH!"
"I'm busy, Princess," Keigan muttered, trying to look away.
Aurora didn't take "No" for an answer. She reached up and slapped the screen with her palm, successfully closing his "Market Analysis" app. Then she pointed at the basket of fruit on the table.
"She... she just 'Terminated' my session," Keigan whispered, stunned. "She didn't even 'Save' my progress! She's 'Force-Closing' my life so I can peel her a grape!"
"Do it, Keigan," Keifer said from the head of the table, not looking up from his own coffee. "Her 'Priority Level' is higher than your 'Data Stream'."
Target 2: The "Tactical Unit" (Bridget & Felix)
Bridget and Felix were discussing the "Security Rotation" for the upcoming Christening. Aurora, now bored with Keigan, crawled over to Bridget's combat boots.
She didn't play with the laces. She looked at Bridget, then looked at the door to the garden, and let out a series of rhythmic, bossy grunts.
"She wants a 'Perimeter Sweep', Bridge," Felix laughed. "She's 'Deploying' you to the patio so she can look at the birds."
"I don't take orders from anyone under five feet tall," Bridget joked.
Aurora immediately crinkled her nose and let out a "DA-DA-DA!"—the "Summoning Signal" for Keifer.
"Bridget," Keifer's voice dropped into 'CEO Frequency'. "Take the General to the patio. Immediately. Her 'Request' has been 'Authenticated'."
"I'm being 'Out-Ranked' by a diaper," Bridget groaned, picking up Aurora. Aurora immediately patted Bridget's shoulder like a satisfied supervisor.
Target 3: The "Legacy Founder" (Pappa Keizer)
Even Pappa Keizer wasn't safe. He was trying to read the physical newspaper. Aurora, back from her "Patio Inspection," crawled onto his lap.
She didn't grab the paper to tear it. She grabbed the corner, folded it down so she could see his face, and stared at him with a look of "Extreme Judgment."
"What? What is it, my little CEO?" Pappa asked, lowering the paper.
Aurora reached out, grabbed his gold spectacles right off his nose, and handed them to Mamma Serina. Then she pointed at the floor, clearly indicating she wanted Pappa to get down and play "Horse."
"She's 'Downsizing' your dignity, Keizer," Mamma Serina laughed, catching the glasses. "She's decided your 'Executive Time' is over. It's 'Manual Labor' time."
"1,000%," Pappa sighed, actually getting down on the carpet. "She has the 'Watson Veto'. I can't 'Override' her."
The "Bossy" Final Boss: [Jay's POV]
By the end of brunch, Aurora was sitting in the middle of the rug, surrounded by the "Squad."
Keigan was peeling grapes.
Keiran was making "Funny Noises" on command.
Alexander was happily chewing on a toy, knowing better than to "Interrupt the Boardroom."
Keifer sat down beside me, watching the scene.
"She's 'Restructured' the entire family in under sixty minutes, Jay," Keifer murmured. "She has the 'Board' doing 'Entry-Level Tasks'. Her 'Management Style' is... aggressive."
"She learned from the best, Hubby," I teased, leaning my head on his shoulder.
Aurora looked up, saw us talking, and let out a sharp "AH!" while pointing at her empty water cup.
Keifer jumped up instantly. "I'm on it! The 'Refilling' is initiated!"
"1,000% Simp," I whispered to myself.
