The "Watson-Standard" Reception: High-Fidelity After-Party Chaos
[Jay's POV]
If the ceremony was a "System Integration," the reception was a full-blown "Server Overload." The Watson ballroom had been converted into an "Autumnal Noir" gala. The University Squad was currently 1,000% unleashed, and the "Double-Heirs" had officially moved from "Flower Girl/Ring Enforcer" to "Quality Control Managers" of the dance floor.
The "First Dance" Interruption: [Keifer's POV]
Keigan and Rina took the floor for their first dance. The lighting was set to a "Deep Amber" and the music was a custom-coded orchestral track. It was supposed to be a moment of "Peak Romance."
I was standing on the sidelines, holding a glass of 1945 vintage, when I felt a "Weight Shift" at my feet.
Alexander had spotted the "Spinning Lights" on the dance floor. He didn't just want to watch; he wanted to "Tactically Intervene." He let out a "Combat Cry" and broke into a full-speed "Heir-Sprint" toward the center of the floor.
"Alexander! Negative! 'Abort' the mission!" I hissed, but it was too late.
He reached the couple, grabbed Keigan's trouser leg, and began to "Sync" his movements—which mostly involved bouncing up and down and shouting "BOING! BOING!" "He's 'Beta-Testing' the choreography, Keigan!" Ci-N shouted from the bar, holding up a cocktail. "1,000% 'Input Interference'!"
The "Bossy" Toast Audit: [Jay's POV]
Then came the speeches. Keiran stood up to give the Best Man toast. He was three glasses of champagne deep and starting to get "Sentimental."
"So, I've known Keigan since our first 'System Architecture' class..."
"EH!" The sharp sound cut through the room. Aurora was sitting in her "Imperial High-Chair" (velvet-lined, obviously), and she was pointing at Keiran's mic. She didn't like the "Volume Frequency."
"I'm speaking, Princess!" Keiran argued.
Aurora looked at Felix, who was standing nearby, and then pointed at the "Mute" button on the soundboard.
"She's 'Terminating' your session, Keiran!" Felix laughed, actually moving toward the soundboard. "The General says your 'Data' is redundant! Sit down!"
Aurora gave a single, satisfied nod and went back to "Auditing" her organic fruit plate, having successfully "Downsized" the speech department.
The "Squad" vs. The Open Bar: [Author's POV]
The University Squad was in "Peak Chaos" mode:
Ci-N and Bridget were having a "Competitive Shot-Taking" contest, which Bridget was winning because of her "Tactical Metabolism."
Pappa Keizer was on the terrace, showing Alexander how to "Analyze" a cigar (unlit, of course).
Mamma Serina was teaching Aurora how to "Dismiss" suitors with a single look—a "Skill-Set" Aurora had already mastered at 14 months.
Keifer finally found me by the dessert table. He looked 1,000% "Socially Exhausted" but his eyes were glowing.
"Jay," he whispered, pulling me into a shadow behind a floral pillar. "The 'Assets' are currently occupied by the 'Grand-Admins'. The Squad is 'System-Busy'. I'm 'Requesting' a 60-second 'Private Sync'."
He leaned in, his lips brushing mine. It was perfect. It was romantic. It was—
"DADA! CAKE! NOW!"
The "Final Liquidation": [Jay's POV]
We broke apart to see Alexander covered in blue frosting (again) and Aurora pointing at the 5-tier wedding cake with a look of "Executive Hunger."
"She's 'Authorized' the cake-cutting, Hubby," I laughed, wiping a smudge of icing off Alexander's nose. "The 'Queen' is hungry, and the 'Enforcer' is ready for 'Sugar-Loading'."
Keifer sighed, picked up both heirs, and looked at the chaotic, beautiful scene of our family and friends.
"1,000%," he murmured.
"1,000% what, Keif?"
"1,000% 'System Success'," he said, kissing the top of Aurora's head. "Even if I never get to finish a romantic moment again, the 'Output' of this life is 2,000% better than I 'Programmed' for."
"1,000%," I whispered, leaning into him as the "Squad" roared in laughter in the background.
