January third.
Three days after the exile. I'd been unconscious while everything I left behind kept moving without me. The exile had already happened and I wan't sure if everyone was okay.
I cut that thought off. There was no use on thinking about it without actual information.
I looked at Zoe. She'd already stopped talking about Alterra, I had to ask her questions that would guide me toward Argent.
"Do you know where Argent is?"
She looked at me. Her expression implied she thought about it with genuine effort.
"Argent." She turned the word over. "Is that a place?"
"A city… a safe zone., it has barriers holding back Corruptors…" I watched her face. "My city."
She was quiet. "I don't know what a Corruptor is."
I almost asked her to clarify but her expression wasn't evasive, she genuinely had probably never heard the word. I decided to move on.
"Do you have a map?"
