Aria Sterling had been in the hospital for several days. When she was discharged, Damian Xavier personally drove her home.
But aside from a "thank you" and "goodbye," she didn't say another word to him.
After leaving the Sterling Family's residence, he went to the office. Just as his phone began to ring, Kevin Keane came in with his coffee.
Seeing that he had a call, Kevin Keane tactfully turned to leave, but was unexpectedly stopped.
"Mr. Xavier?" Kevin Keane looked at Damian Xavier, confused.
Damian Xavier extended a long finger, pointed at the phone, and said, "Answer it for me. Just say I'm in a meeting and can't talk."
Kevin Keane took the phone and glanced at the caller ID. Only then did he understand why Damian wanted him to answer—it was a call from Mya Walsh.
'Their Mr. Xavier is busy trying to win his wife back right now; he can't be bothered with all those other messy entanglements.'
'But it's not like I'm any good at dealing with women, either.'
