His explanation made sense, but was it really necessary to change my surname to Claudia Gatlin? He could've used my maiden surname instead and made me Claudia Reed.
Knowing Ray and the Gatlin family, he must've used his connection with this hospital just to do something so unnecessary like changing my surname.
Nevertheless, it felt good that I was not Mrs. Hoffman anymore, albeit only temporarily. Once I could prove my innocence and protect Aurora, I'd get a swift divorce from Miles Hoffman and reclaim my maiden surname.
That'd be much better than being Mrs. Gatlin or Mrs. Hoffman.
"Thank you for helping me on that one, Ray," I gave credit where credit was due. Since Ray helped me, then I'd naturally thank him. "It feels nice not to be Mrs. Hoffman for a while."
Ray had been eyeing me strangely after the doctor addressed me as Mrs. Gatlin, and the next question he had was even stranger. "And what do you think about Mrs. Gatlin?"
"Ah? Uh… What do you mean?" I asked.
