Chapter 6: The Anemo Dragon and the Girl's Kiss

The group continued making their way through the mountain forest, with Paimon flying ahead, diligently fulfilling her duties as a guide.

Suddenly, Paimon froze midair and turned to look at the others, all of whom wore serious expressions.

Lumine: "Did you hear that?"

Bennett: "Sounds like the low growl of a large beast."

Paimon: "Shh, keep it down! Su Han, come here—your moment to shine has arrived."

Su Han: "What's going on?"

The group tiptoed, using the rocky walls for cover as they peeked ahead.

There, before them, appeared a long, sleek dragon with scales that shimmered in a brilliant teal-blue.

On the grassy clearing right in front of the dragon sat a young man, strikingly beautiful, dressed in Baroque-style clothing with over-the-knee white socks, and draped in a green cloak.

He let out a soft sigh: "Wouldn't it be nice if I had an endless supply of apple cider…"

Paimon: "Wow… this guy, really, now you're thinking about cider?"

"Su Han, Su Han, use your ultimate skill! This person must've been kidnapped by an evil dragon."

Su Han: "If you want me to die, just say so…"

Lumine: "…"

Bennett: "Wait… if I'm seeing this right, that's… the Anemo Dragon?"

The dragon's pupils glowed a deep azure as it spoke in a human tongue: "You… haven't changed a bit."

The boy stood on tiptoe, reaching out his hands toward the dragon: "Don't be afraid… it's okay, I'm back now."

Paimon tilted her head in confusion, her finger lightly tapping her lips: "He's… talking to the dragon?"

Su Han: "Hey! Too loud, idiot."

At that moment, a flash of emerald-green light suddenly crossed Lumine's chest—but in the blink of an eye, it vanished.

However, the dragon had sensed their presence.

"ROAR—"

The dragon opened its massive jaws, letting out a furious roar that seemed to whip up a gale. Trees and grass trembled violently, dust filling the air, and for a moment, it was hard to see.

"Su Han, use your invincible divine skill to do something!" Paimon panicked, tugging at Su Han's hair.

"I'm not planning to die young… and I certainly don't want to go bald that early… ah! Let go, stop pulling!"

"Never! I won't let go even if I die!"

"Who—?"

The boy instantly recoiled, his expression serious. He glanced at them once more, then his body brightened, dispersing into particles that drifted away with the wind.

The dragon let out another roar, spread its wings, and flew off. The howling wind gradually died down.

Paimon: "That was close! I almost got blown away! Good thing I held onto your hair—thanks!"

Su Han: "You did well. Next time, don't grab it, understood?"

Lumine: "Bennett… you know that dragon?"

Bennett's expression turned grave: "Yes, that dragon is one of Mondstadt's Four Winds—the East Wind Dragon, Dvalin.

"As for the boy… I don't really know him. He seems unfamiliar…

"Although I don't know why Dvalin appeared here, I need to return to Mondstadt City quickly and report this to the Knights."

"So… I won't be able to continue traveling with you. Sorry."

"No worries. Paimon will do just fine as your guide. Don't worry about us, Bennett," Paimon said cheerfully.

"Wait…"

Su Han called after him, then theatrically pulled a banana from his pack and handed it to Bennett.

"You haven't eaten breakfast, right? This banana is from my hometown—especially sweet and delicious. Consider it a gift to mark our friendship."

"What about Paimon's share? Paimon wants some too!"

Paimon's eyes sparkled as she dove into the bag for another banana, but Su Han was quicker and tied the bag into a knot.

"Thanks, Su Han. It's been a long time since I met such a thoughtful friend."

"Farewell, Traveler, little Paimon, and Su Han. When you reach Mondstadt City, be sure to visit the Adventurers' Guild and find me."

After waving goodbye, Bennett quickly disappeared from their sight.

Lumine stroked her smooth chin, looking at Su Han: "The banana you brought from your hometown… why is it in my bag?"

Su Han's expression turned solemn as he tried to bluff: "Ahem… all good things must come to an end. Lumine, Paimon, I suppose it's time to bid you farewell."

Paimon: "Then at least let me out first!"

Lumine silently drew her bladeless sword, her delicate fingers brushing the hilt.

Su Han: "Just kidding. We got along instantly. How could we part so easily?"

At that moment, Paimon suddenly called out: "Eh, what's that? Should we go take a closer look?"

Following Paimon's direction, they saw a teardrop-shaped crystal glowing red, hovering in midair.

Without hesitation, Lumine walked over, Su Han and Paimon close behind.

Paimon: "Be careful! I have a really bad feeling about this…"

Su Han leaned closer to inspect, teasing: "Paimon, doesn't it look like a dragon egg?"

Paimon's eyes lit up: "A dragon egg? Can we eat it?"

Su Han: "Why does everything have to be about eating? I think this 'dragon egg' might be valuable. We could sell it."

Lumine shot them a look of affectionate exasperation: "It's a crystal, not a dragon egg."

"Hmph, seems dangerous. I'll keep it safe for now."

She tucked the red crystal into her bag and turned to lead the way, leaving Su Han and Paimon whispering behind.

Paimon: "Su Han… what if tonight, while Lumine sleeps, we sneak the dragon egg out and sell it?"

Su Han: "Hmm… good idea. Finally, Paimon's being clever."

Paimon: "Hehe, Paimon's always been clever."

Lumine: sighs mentally Destroy them.

"Ahh—"

Paimon finished the last bite of her banana, closing her eyes in bliss, then casually tossed the peel onto the ground.

"Don't litter! What if someone slips on it?"

Su Han tapped Paimon's little head, lecturing her.

"Hehe, got it! Paimon will pick it up."

Lumine followed behind, pondering a question. Even though I was the one who lured Paimon here… why do they seem closer to each other than to me?

"Hey! You two—wait!"

A cheerful, energetic voice called from behind, followed by the quick patter of approaching footsteps.

Clack-clack-clack, clack-clack-clack—

The sound grew closer.

Su Han and Lumine immediately stopped, warily looking back.

It was a cute girl with chestnut hair tied in red bunny-ear bows.

She wore a red-and-white outfit with brown accents, goggles around her neck, red thigh-high socks, and white boots, leaving just enough of her snowy legs visible over short shorts to form a perfect absolute territory.

Reaching the edge of a slope, she leaped confidently, executing a flawless roll.

Then, a dramatic moment unfolded: after standing and taking only a couple of steps, she stepped on the banana peel Paimon had discarded.

"Eh eh eh?"

Her eyes flashed with panic as she slipped and fell into Su Han's arms.

Their lips met in an intimate, unplanned kiss.

Lumine: "??"

Paimon looked guilty: "Uh… eh heh heh…"

Her lips were soft, her scent pleasant. At that moment, Su Han wished this moment could last forever.

From this close distance, the girl's blinking eyes, flustered expressions, and adorable attempts to avoid him were all vividly before his gaze.
