I switched off the room light.

and covered myself with the blanket.

Then I decided that I would not turn off the light. I would keep the light ON.
I kept the lamp on.
But now I had to go to the washroom…
I was scared that maybe someone might be there…
But I really needed to go to the washroom.
So gathering a little courage, I got down from my bed
and started walking towards the washroom.
My heart was beating very fast.
Even while going to the washroom, I kept turning back again and again.
It felt like someone was watching me from behind, but whenever I turned back, no one was there…
After finishing in the toilet, I was washing my face.
Then suddenly I saw someone in the washroom mirror standing behind me — a dark thing staring at me.
I immediately turned back…
But there was no one there.
Now my fear was increasing even more.
I understood one thing — this could not just be my imagination.
Then what was it?
I did not know.
Slowly the night kept getting deeper.
Now it was 2:14. I was sitting quietly on the bed.
Now I could not sleep…
I was trying to sleep,
but again and again that crying sound and the feeling of someone near my ear were not letting me sleep.
Then I stood up from my place.
I decided that I would go to my friend's house and sleep there tonight.
Tomorrow we will see if someone is really here or not.
Tomorrow I will get everything checked properly.
I got down from the bed and picked up a torch in my hand because outside the room there would be lights on the floor.
Slowly I walked towards the door.
I looked once ahead and behind.
Then I opened the door…
With a strange sound, the door opened…
Outside it was very dark.
My house was on the 5th floor, and this was the top floor of our building, meaning above it there was only the roof and no other floor.
I stepped out of the room
and closed the room door.
I was standing alone on the whole floor.
There was a torch in my hand.
It could not light up the entire area, but it was lighting some parts.
Slowly walking, I reached near the lift.
I called the lift and went inside.
The lift went down to the ground floor.
I came out of the lift.
Right now, there was no one in the parking area.
From around the place, the sound of dogs barking could be heard…
I was walking towards my car.
Then suddenly I saw someone.
A shadow standing outside the parking area below.
That shadow was not clearly visible, but I could understand one thing —
maybe it was a person.
But it was not completely clear.
I thought about going near it.
But that shadow started coming into the parking area.
And suddenly, as soon as it took one step forward, it instantly appeared right in front of me.
My soul almost left my body.
My heart was beating loudly…

I immediately got inside the lift
and started pressing the 5th floor button.
That shadow was following me.
But it could not enter the lift because I had closed the lift door before it arrived.
I reached the 5th floor.
And the lift stopped.

And there that same shadow was standing again.

Its red eyes were staring directly at me.
I could not understand what to do.
I was frozen at that place.

Even my torch had stopped working.
My heart felt like it would jump out of my chest at any moment.
Then I saw that the shadow was now slowly moving towards me…
