🌑 Chapter Three
The Dark King Returns
Dark clouds slowly covered the bright sky of the Dragon Kingdom.
The floating islands that once shined with golden light were now surrounded by a cold, frightening wind.
Aria felt a strange chill run through her body.
"Why is the sky turning dark?" she asked nervously.
The great Dragon King Aurelion looked toward the distant mountains with serious eyes.
"Because…" he said slowly,
"The Dark King has returned."
A deep rumbling sound echoed across the sky.
BOOOOOOM…
Lightning flashed through the black clouds.
In the distance, a giant shadow moved inside the storm.
Aria's heart started beating faster.
"What is the Dark King?" she asked.
Lumi flew closer to her and whispered,
"Long ago, there was a powerful ruler who wanted to control all magic in this world."
"He became corrupted by dark power and turned into the Dark King."
Aurelion continued the story in a deep voice.
"He tried to destroy the Dragon Kingdom and rule both the human world and the magic world."
"But the dragons fought back," Aria said.
"Yes," Aurelion nodded.
"After a great war, we sealed him away in the Shadow Mountains."
"But now…" the dragon king looked at the storm,
"his power is growing again."
Suddenly—
A loud roar shook the sky.
ROOOOOOOAR!
From the black clouds, a terrifying creature appeared.
It was a dark dragon.
Its wings were like shadows, and its eyes burned with red fire.
Aria stepped back in fear.
"That dragon… it looks evil."
Aurelion's voice became cold.
"That is not a normal dragon."
"It is a Shadow Dragon, created by the Dark King."
More dark shapes began flying out of the storm clouds.
Shadow dragons filled the sky.
The Dragon King spread his massive golden wings.
"All dragons!" he roared.
"Prepare for battle!"
Across the floating islands, hundreds of dragons rose into the air.
Red dragons.
Blue dragons.
Silver dragons.
The sky turned into a battlefield.
Aria watched in shock.
"This is a war…" she whispered.
Lumi looked at her seriously.
"And you, Aria… might be the only one who can stop it."
Aria looked confused.
"Me? But I'm just a normal girl."
At that moment, something strange happened.
A soft golden light began glowing from Aria's hand.
The same light that opened the ancient gate.
The Dragon King stared at her in surprise.
"Impossible…"
He whispered.
"That is the Ancient Dragon Magic."
Aria looked at the glowing light in fear.
"What is happening to me?"
Aurelion's voice became powerful and serious.
"Aria… you are not just a visitor here."
He looked directly into her eyes.
"You are the chosen Dragon Rider."
And far away in the darkness…
The Dark King slowly opened his glowing red eyes.
The real war had just begun.
