Everything was going well in Nayeon's life. Dohyun made her rethink her perspective. Maybe she didn't have to be rich or successful to enjoy her life, maybe all she needed was affection from Dohyun.
"But Dohyun has a lover already." Nayeon thought to herself.
She was about to make coffee for Dohyun as he requested her to do so. Then she encountered Kyujin there and as Kyujin saw her, she pushed her to the wall and smiled down at her.
It was only them in the break room. Kyujin was romantically close to Nayeon which made her uncomfortable.
"What are you doing, Kyujin?" Nayeon freaked out.
Kyujin placed her hand on Nayeon's waist and whispered into her ear, "I have started liking you since you came to this workspace, Nayeon. Be mine, and I'll give you the life you dream of."
Nayeon angrily pushed Kyujin away.
"Kyujin, I'm straight! I have no affection for you at all!" Nayeon yelled.
"Ouch, well that hurts. I understand, Nayeon. I won't push you into being lesbian for me, even though you're really my type." Kyujin winked at her and left.
"Stupid girl." Nayeon muttered.
As Nayeon made the coffee and was coming to Dohyun's office, she passed a pretty girl with silky brown hair, blue eyes, tanned skin and she smelled incredibly nice. Nayeon didn't give her much thought until she noticed that the girl turned around and started heading in Nayeon's direction.
It surprised her when the two of them were standing at Dohyun's door together.
"Hello, good morning. I see you've got a handful, let me help you."
The girl said kindly.
She helped Nayeon knock and they both went into Dohyun's office.
Dohyun noticed the foreign girl first and said, "Welcome, you are Savannah Harpson, right?"
"Yes, Sir." She replied.
Dohyun gestured for Nayeon to place the coffee and leave, so she reluctantly did.
Nayeon got back to her own work.
Weeks went by and everyone that worked at Amazing water became extra friendly to Savannah Harpson and were always around her. Nayeon noticed how close Savannah and Dohyun were getting and when Kyujin left for abroad and quited her job, Dohyun made Savannah his new secretary upon her being there for just a short while.
She noticed how Savannah also adressed Dohyun by his name and how close Dohyun always wanted her to be around him.
Everyone at Amazing water spoke of Savannah's compassion and benevolence.
This extremely irritated Nayeon.
On a day off, Nayeon was complaining to her cousin about Savannah.
"Oh, she's an angel, she's this, she's that, I'm so sick of everybody talking about that foreign girl! She is incredibly close with Dohyun too, and her smiles disgust me!" Nayeon whined.
"Sounds like you must really hate her or maybe you're jealous that she is too close with Dohyun?" Haerin asked.
"I can't deny that I hate seeing them together, Haerin. I think I'm liking Dohyun."
"Aww, that's great. But doesn't he have a fiancée?"
"His parents and her parents made.an agreement to marry the both of them so that Dohyun will inherit Leah's father's company plus Amazing water."
"Is that so?"
"Yes, and aren't you concerned about your romance life, Haerin? You're thirty-two and you're not getting any younger."
"Haha, no I'm not very concerned, Nayeon. And you're one to talk."
"And could you believe that lesbian secretary was interested in me? I'm glad she quit her job and travelled elsewhere."
"Yeah, how absolutely absurd of her. "
"And did i tell you that Dohyun made her his secretary just after Kyujin left?"
"Now that's probably just his way of promoting her."
"No, he wants her to be closer to him!"
"We'll talk about this, again, Nayeon. I have work to do and you must relax."
Haerin went into her room and started working from home, while Nayeon started watching k-dramas on her phone.
