The following morning, Nayeon set outwardly to visit Vivian at prison. Nayeon had some questions for her which needed reasonable answers.
Minju saw her sister going out as she prepared Ariyana for school.
"Where are you going, Nayeon?" Minju asked.
"Uh, for now, I'm going to pay a visit to Vivian." Nayeon replied.
"But don't you have work today?"
"Nope. I'll see you both later."
"Bye, aunt Nayeon!" Ariyana said.
Nayeon waved at her and left the house in a haste.
Nayeon would hae gone with Heeseung, but he was too busy to be available at that moment, so she went alone.
Nayeon reached the prison and had a visit ser up with Vivian.
Vivian sat across the other side looking choked up with grief and miserable. Nayeon couldn't help but feel pity for her.
"Hey, Vivian... i can't ask you how you're doing... because it looks like you aren't doing so good." Nayeon said with sympathy in her voice.
Vivian looked up at her. But she almost seemed dazed and lost in thoughts.
Nayeon sighed.
"Please, Vivian, I want to ask you some questions." She said. Vivian gave her no reply.
Nayeon went on with her questions anyways. "Why did you do all of this?" Vivian stayed silent.
Nayeon then asked again.
"Why did you poison Mrs Lee? For what reason and what was your motive." Nayeon spoke with indignation in her voice.
This time, Vivian replied, but with anger and a bit of sadness in her voice.
"What was my motive? The reason behind the poisoning? Nayeon, the Lee's are very wicked people. They have treated my family with so much disrespect and shamed them. And I am sure that Dohyun is not different from his family too. I did what I had to, and at least it caused Mrs Lee some harm. I should have murdered their whole family... ended their generation! But how unfortunate i didn't decide on that sooner. It was always an option though." Vivian started laughing like a psychopath as she said that.
Nayeon got very serious.
"Alright... what is the name of your aunt?" She asked.
"My aunt goes by Yewon Han." Vivian replied.
Nayeon was stunned. The florist that her parents used to buy flowers from, was none other that Vivian's aunt, Yewon Han.
"I know that lady." Nayeon said while still in shock.
Vivian looked surprised and glad at the same time.
"Please, Nayeon. I beg of you... take care of my aunt, I can't afford to let anything happen to her or the flower shop while I'm imprisoned. Please, I don't want my aunt to suffer." Vivian begged intensely.
Nayeon thought, "If I agree to this, I'm automatically taking up another responsibility. I used to think that the only person that I cared about was myself..."
Nayeon faced Vivian as she made her decision.
"I will take care of your aunt. But once you are released, you will take your aunt back. Those are my conditions."
Nayeon spoke.
Vivian's eyes began to form tears.
"Thank you, thank you, Nayeon!" She said thankfully.
"You're welcome, Vivian."
Nayeon left the place as they concluded.
Nayeon couldn't stop thinking as she left. She clearly made herself see that it was a bad decision.
"Ugh! Why did I agreento doing this for Vivian's sake!" She groaned.
Nayeon was headed over to Mrs Han's flower shop. She had no idea that Vivian was related to Yewon Han until now.
She arrived at Mrs Han's shop shortly and gazed upon the shop for a while. "So, this place would have been gone if it weren't for Vivian's integrity... her... integrity...."
Nayeon walked into the shop which was practically empty with only Mrs Han around. She seemed to be cleaning up the flower shop.
Mrs Han was most delighted to see her.
"Nayeon, eotteohge jinaeseyo?" (Nayeon, have you been) She asked warmly.
"Jal jinaesseoyo." (I've been well) Nayeon replied.
"So what brings you here? Can u help you with anything?"
Nayeon fell silent.
"What is it?" Mrs Han asked eagerly.
"I think you need to sit down for this..." Nayeon and Mrs Han got seated at the corner of the flower shop.
Nayeon briefly explained to Mrs Han about Vivian's case. Mrs Han was devastated.
"But... why didn't Vivian tell me about all this... I could have helped her out." Mrs Han asked herself.
"She wanted to protect you. She said i should take care of you from now on." Nayeon spoke gently.
"How long will Vivian be in prison?"
"They said for about fifteen years, i think."
Mrs Han bursted into tears and Nayeon consoled her.
"Don't worry. I promise to take care of you from now on until Vivian is released. That was our agreement..." Nayeon said in a definite tone.
