But among the crowd stood a young man with bright eyes and messy black hair.
His name was Kai Stormrider.
And he had a dream that most people would call impossible.
"I'm going to find the Lost Crown," he said confidently.
The old fishermen nearby burst into laughter.
"Kid, thousands of pirates tried," one of them said.
"None of them came back."
Kai simply smiled.
"That just means they weren't crazy enough."
He stepped onto a small, worn-out boat tied to the dock.

Kai followed the noise and discovered a girl fighting three armed pirates at once.
Her silver hair moved with the wind while she swung a glowing blue sword.
