Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 The Girl Who Was Supposed to Be Dead

Berlin at night had a strange way of hiding monsters.

The humans walking through the glowing streets believed the city belonged to them—students laughing outside cafés, taxis sliding through rain-soaked roads, music spilling from underground clubs.

They had no idea.

Under the neon lights and ancient stone architecture, another world existed.

A world of vampires, wolves, witches… and things far older.

And tonight, the most dangerous one of them all walked quietly through the gates of Aurelion Elite University.

Her name was Selene Valkrith.

And according to the supernatural world…

She had died ten years ago.

Selene stepped through the iron gates of the university, her black boots barely making a sound on the wet pavement. The rain had just stopped, leaving the air cold and sharp.

Her silver eyes scanned the campus.

Every detail.

Every shadow.

Every heartbeat.

She could hear them all.

Hundreds of students filled the courtyard, dragging suitcases, greeting old friends, laughing.

Humans.

Witches.

Werewolves.

Vampires.

Hybrids.

And hidden among them… heirs of the most powerful supernatural dynasties in Europe.

But none of them were as dangerous as the quiet girl standing near the fountain.

Selene Valkrith adjusted the sleeve of her coat calmly.

To everyone here, she was nothing more than a weak witch scholarship student.

Quiet.

Polite.

Forgettable.

That was the mask she had perfected.

But beneath that mask lived something the supernatural world feared more than death.

A Tribrid.

Vampire.

Witch.

Wolf.

A creature that was never supposed to exist.

Her powers had been sealed the day she was born.

Not because she was weak.

But because she was too powerful.

A prophecy had been written in blood the moment Selene entered the world.

A child of three bloodlines shall rise.

The throne of night will kneel.

And the balance of power will burn.

The supernatural councils panicked.

The royal vampire clans feared her.

Alpha kings whispered about her.

Ancient witches tried to erase the prophecy.

And then the war began.

Selene remembered the night everything burned.

She had only been eight.

Her family's castle in southern Germany stood surrounded by thousands of supernatural soldiers.

Vampires.

Wolves.

Dark witches.

All united for one reason.

To kill the heir of the Valkrith Dynasty.

The most powerful supernatural family to ever rule Europe.

Her parents had fought like gods.

But even gods could fall.

The castle collapsed in flames.

Blood filled the courtyard.

And the world believed Selene Valkrith died that night.

But they were wrong.

Very wrong.

Selene walked across the courtyard now, her calm expression hiding the memories behind her eyes.

A group of students rushed past her.

One of them bumped her shoulder.

"Watch it," the vampire boy snapped.

Selene didn't even look at him.

But her senses had already measured everything about him.

Age: roughly 120 years.

Strength: average noble vampire.

Threat level: insignificant.

She kept walking.

Years of assassin training had taught her one rule.

Never waste energy on useless enemies.

The university buildings rose like ancient fortresses around the campus.

Stone towers.

Arched windows glowing with golden light.

Hidden runes carved into the walls.

This place looked like a normal elite college to humans.

But Selene knew the truth.

The entire campus sat on top of an ancient magical ley line.

A river of supernatural power flowing beneath the earth.

That was why the strongest supernatural families sent their heirs here.

Power gathered in places like this.

And those who survived it became monsters.

Selene stopped in front of the dormitory building.

A tall woman with dark red hair waited near the entrance.

The woman didn't smell human.

She smelled like steel, blood… and wolf.

Hybrid.

The woman smiled faintly.

"You must be Selene Valkrith."

Selene nodded calmly.

"Room 307."

The woman handed her a key card.

"I'm Professor Lyra. Combat Magic Department."

Selene accepted the card.

Their fingers touched for a split second.

Lyra's eyes widened slightly.

She felt it.

The power.

Even sealed, Selene's aura was like standing near a sleeping volcano.

Lyra quickly hid her reaction.

"Orientation begins tomorrow morning."

Selene simply nodded.

"Thank you."

Her voice was soft.

Polite.

Perfectly harmless.

But Lyra watched her walk away with a strange feeling crawling down her spine.

That girl is dangerous…

She couldn't explain why.

But her instincts screamed it.

Room 307.

Selene opened the door slowly.

Inside, the dorm room looked surprisingly luxurious.

Two large beds.

Dark wooden furniture.

A balcony overlooking the campus.

And someone was already there.

A girl sat casually on the bed cleaning a silver dagger.

Her black hair fell over one eye, and her golden eyes lifted toward Selene.

The moment their gazes met…

The air changed.

Selene could feel it instantly.

This girl wasn't normal.

Not even among monsters.

The scent hit her senses.

Vampire.

Wolf.

And something else.

Hybrid assassin.

The girl smiled slightly.

"So you're my roommate."

Selene stepped inside calmly.

"Looks like it."

The girl flipped the dagger skillfully before sliding it into a hidden sheath on her thigh.

"Name's Raven."

Selene placed her bag beside the bed.

"Selene."

Raven watched her carefully.

Every movement Selene made was controlled.

Precise.

Too precise for a normal witch.

"First year?" Raven asked.

Selene nodded.

"Yes."

Raven leaned back against the wall.

"You don't smell like a witch."

Silence filled the room for a moment.

Selene met her gaze.

"And you don't smell like a student."

Raven's smile widened.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Outside the dormitory window, the campus lights flickered.

Deep beneath the university…

Something ancient stirred.

An underground chamber sealed for centuries trembled slightly.

Dust fell from the ceiling.

And a whisper echoed through the darkness.

"She has returned…"

Back in the dorm room, Selene stood quietly on the balcony looking over the campus.

The wind moved through her dark hair.

Somewhere far across the city…

A pair of golden eyes suddenly opened.

Ancient.

Powerful.

Predatory.

The man sitting on the throne of black stone slowly smiled.

After thousands of years…

He had finally felt her presence.

"The Valkrith heir," he murmured.

His voice carried the weight of centuries.

"Selene Valkrith…"

The Ancient Immortal Warrior rose from his throne.

And the supernatural world unknowingly took its first step toward chaos.

Because the girl they thought was dead…

Had just entered the game.

Selene closed her eyes briefly.

Her sealed powers stirred quietly beneath the surface.

For years she had hidden.

Watched.

Prepared.

Now she had entered the place where supernatural dynasties forged their rulers.

But Selene didn't come here to study.

She came for three reasons.

To uncover the truth about her parents' disappearance.

To find the enemies who destroyed her family.

And to claim the throne that belonged to her.

The Vampire Throne of Valkrith.

Her silver eyes opened slowly.

Cold.

Calm.

Strategic.

Let the supernatural heirs play their little games.

Let the secret societies move their pieces.

Let the ancient kings wake from their slumber.

Because none of them understood one terrifying truth.

Selene Valkrith wasn't here to survive the university.

She was here to rule it.

But in a world full of monsters, secrets, and ancient powers…

What will happen when the hidden Tribrid Queen finally unlocks the power that was sealed inside her since birth?
