Synopsis
On a quiet night illuminated by bright moonlight, a 25-year-old single pedestrian stumbles upon a crying baby abandoned in the middle of the road. Initially enraged at what he assumes is a cruel prank, he quickly softens when he picks up the child and discovers a letter pleading for a stranger to care for the baby as their own. Though frustrated by the unexpected responsibility and confused about why any parent would abandon their child this way, he decides to take the baby in, vowing to raise him as his own and pass on his knowledge of martial arts. Fifteen years later, the child has grown under his care but questions about the circumstances of the abandonment still linger, and both father and son must confront the truth about the past that brought them together.

Chapter 1 - Reality hits me

As I walked in the middle of the night, the moon shone bright. The river's gentle sound was like a lullaby to my ears, and I moved slowly, savoring the calm moment.

Until peace settled over me for just a moment before I spotted a crying baby lying in the middle of the road I was walking on. At first, I thought the parents were playing a prank or had left the child there on purpose. Why would anyone leave their baby in the road? Plus in the middle of the night? If this was supposed to be a joke, it wasn't funny at all.

I shouted out loud to call for them, my voice sharp with anger.

"Hey! You so-called parents whoever you are! Did you forget your baby here, or did you two do this on purpose? This isn't funny!"

As I yelled, the baby stopped crying and looked at me with what seemed like confusion as if it could understand every word I said. I gently picked the little one up and held them close, as if they were my own. Then, a sudden thought crossed my mind.

"Oh crap, I know I'm single, but that doesn't mean I'm jealous of this tiny little creature, huh I'm sure I'm jealous I wanted a child to but why they leave a baby here"

The baby broke into a smile, and that's when I noticed a small piece of paper tucked on its back.

"If I read this and find out this is just some stupid joke, all of you better be ready I'll find you all and kick every single one of your asses so hard!"

The baby giggled and wiggled in my arms, laughing nonstop. I softened my tone as I spoke to them.

"Hello there, little fella. Did your parents pull this crummy prank on you?"

The baby just kept laughing, but when I unfolded the paper, I found a letter inside that read:

"Please if you find my child, take care of him like your own. I'm begging you."

I stood there, humming in disbelief before shouting out again.

"What is this supposed to mean?! I'm 25 years old and single, and I know I can handle myself just fine on my own. And yes, like I mentioned earlier I do want a child. But that doesn't mean leaving a child with me, a complete stranger!"

My loud voice made the baby start crying again. I quickly soothed them until they were laughing once more, and then I came to a decision.

"If your parents abandoned you, then I'll take you in as my child. I don't care what this letter says I'll treat you like you're my own flesh and blood. You'll be the one I pass all my martial arts knowledge to, and I'll give you everything you could ever need."

And now I'm heading home with the baby in my arms.

" I can't help but wonder why his parents would beg a stranger to take care of him. It's a good thing I found him in the middle of the night but what kind of situation would drive parents to abandon their child like this?"

15 years later.
