Chapter 96 - Double the Joy, Double the Chaos

The sun rose lazily over the city, casting a golden glow on the M Designs headquarters. Samantha had long since sprinted ahead of her parents, backpack bouncing, already imagining her next invention. Mau, gently rubbing her slightly rounded belly, walked alongside Tim, the hum of the city below them mingling with their laughter.

"Are you sure carrying the twins isn't slowing you down?" Tim teased, adjusting his tie as they made their way to the office.

Mau smirked. "If by 'slowing down' you mean managing an empire while creating two new humans, then yes… but somehow, I'm still ahead of schedule."

Tim grinned. "You're incredible. But… twins? Really?"

Mau nodded, her hand instinctively resting on her stomach. "Double the chaos, double the fun. Samantha will have companions for life."

Meanwhile, Samantha was already in the city lab—aka the "playground meets office corner"—experimenting with her latest invention: a solar-powered candy dispenser that she insisted could also water office plants simultaneously.

"Mama! Papa! Look!" she shouted, proudly pointing at her contraption, wires and colored tape spilling everywhere. "It's perfect!"

Tim crouched beside her, laughing. "Perfect chaos, maybe, but impressive nonetheless."

Mau smiled, adjusting Samantha's backpack. "She's brilliant… just like her father."

Samantha pouted. "Mama, I told you first! I am brilliant like YOU!"

"Touché," Mau laughed, ruffling her curls.

Later that afternoon, the family took a trip back to the Sierra Madre to reconnect with nature. Samantha ran barefoot across the river rocks, leading a tiny parade of village children.

"Follow me!" she shouted. "We're testing the squirrel bridges!"

Tay Eming and Dale watched, shaking their heads with fond exasperation. "She's fearless," Tay Eming said, "and her creativity knows no bounds."

Sierra laughed. "I think she's going to outsmart all of us before she even starts school properly."

Mau watched Samantha, her heart full. "And now, these twins will have a big sister who's already a force of nature."

Tim wrapped his arms around her. "I still can't believe it's twins. Two more little adventurers to love, protect, and spoil."

Mau laughed. "Two more to keep the empire running… and to out-invent us both."

That evening, back in the city, Mau's doctor called with the latest ultrasound results.

"Well," Mau said, holding Tim's hand tightly, "it's official. Two little humans. Twins. And they're both perfectly healthy."

Tim's jaw dropped. "Twins? Two? Oh wow… okay, I need a second coffee. Maybe third. Or fourth."

Mau laughed, pressing a hand to his chest. "Welcome to parenthood squared."

Samantha, watching from the couch, tilted her head. "Mama, does that mean I get two babies to teach candy-making and inventions to?"

Mau grinned. "Yes, little genius. Two tiny teammates for all your future projects."

Samantha clapped her hands. "Best news EVER!"

The next few weeks were a whirlwind of balancing empire, pregnancy, and Samantha's boundless energy.

At M Designs headquarters, Samantha insisted on "helping" with every project, which mostly meant scattering colored pencils across the floor and proudly announcing which design "needed candy for inspiration."

Tim whispered to Mau during a meeting. "I think she's secretly running the empire already. And soon, we'll have twins keeping her company."

Mau smiled. "It's organized chaos… and I wouldn't trade it for anything."

One afternoon, the family had a picnic on a terrace overlooking the forest and the city skyline. Samantha built tiny Lego "homes" for squirrels while Mau rested against Tim, feeling the subtle kicks of the twins inside her.

"Feel that?" Mau whispered. "They're excited to meet their big sister."

Tim placed a hand over her belly. "They're lucky already. Samantha is going to teach them everything, and we'll just… survive her lessons."

Samantha looked up at them, grinning. "Mama! Papa! Twins need candy too, right?"

Mau laughed, kissing her forehead. "Absolutely. Candy for all."

The sun dipped below the city skyline, casting a warm glow over their little family. Mau, Tim, and Samantha sat together, the forest in the distance, the city alive beneath them, and two tiny new hearts kicking inside Mau, promising a future filled with laughter, love, and genius-filled chaos.
