Chapter 97 - Samantha’s Preparations

The morning sun spilled golden light over the Sierra Madre, and Samantha was already on a mission. Armed with a tiny notebook labeled "Operation Twins Welcome", she darted through the garden, picking wildflowers and collecting small rocks.

"Mama! Papa! I'm making a treasure path for the twins!" she announced breathlessly, holding up her supplies.

Mau, gently resting her hands on her slightly larger belly, smiled at her daughter's energy. "Treasure path, huh? And what's the plan for these treasures?"

Samantha's eyes sparkled. "So the twins will know the forest is magical! And they'll learn to be geniuses like me!"

Tim crouched beside her, laughing. "Genius training starts at three, apparently. I better take notes."

Later, in the city, Mau was balancing back-to-back meetings while Tim managed logistics for a new M Designs international launch. Even with her growing belly, Mau's strategic mind worked at lightning speed, and Samantha insisted on being her "assistant," scribbling doodles on presentation papers.

"Mom!" Samantha said excitedly during a call, "if you add candy colors here, everyone will be happier!"

Mau chuckled, suppressing a laugh in the middle of her board meeting. "Noted, Samantha. Happiness through candy colors—approved."

Tim shook his head, whispering, "Our empire… now officially powered by a three-year-old."

Back in the Sierra Madre, Tay Eming was teaching Samantha a new skill: knot-making and basic pulley engineering using vines and branches.

"See, Samantha," Tay Eming said, demonstrating, "we tie the knot like this to make it strong."

Samantha's tiny fingers twisted and pulled, concentrating fiercely. "Like this?"

Tay Eming inspected it. "Exactly! Very strong, just like your brain."

Samantha beamed. "Then the twins will have strong brains too!"

Dale and Sierra, observing from a distance, chuckled. "We should have been taking notes," Sierra whispered.

Dale smiled. "I think she's teaching us more than Tay Eming today."

That afternoon, the family reunited in the city penthouse. Samantha had drawn a detailed blueprint for the twins' nursery, complete with candy dispensers, mini bookshelves, and a "forest corner" filled with leaves, rocks, and little critter figurines.

"Mama! Papa! I made it perfect for the twins!" Samantha exclaimed.

Mau crouched to her daughter's level, tracing the drawings with her finger. "Samantha, this is incredible! You've thought of everything!"

Tim laughed. "I think the twins might grow up thinking this is the most normal nursery in the world… because it's genius-approved."

Samantha nodded seriously. "They'll thank me later!"

As evening fell, the family gathered on the terrace. Mau rested against Tim, feeling gentle kicks from the twins. Samantha sat beside her, whispering plans in her notebook.

"Mama, I think the twins will like candy… but we also need to teach them forest secrets."

Mau smiled, pressing a hand to her belly. "They already will, thanks to you."

Tim wrapped an arm around both of them. "Samantha, you're going to be the best big sister ever."

Samantha grinned. "And I'll teach them everything! Like how to make candy fly, and how to make bridges for squirrels, and… everything!"

Mau laughed softly. "They're lucky to have you. Just like we are."

Samantha leaned against Mau's belly, feeling a small kick. "Mama… they said hello!"

Mau and Tim exchanged a glance, laughing through happy tears. "Hello, little ones," Mau whispered, kissing Samantha's forehead. "We can't wait to meet you."

The city lights shimmered below, the forest stood silently in the distance, and their hearts were full—an empire thriving, a family growing, and a future brighter than either city or forest could ever hold.
