Chapter 21 - Episode 21 – After Forever

The house was quiet… but not empty.

Soft laughter echoed through the hallway as Ariya Verma ran past the living room, holding something behind her back.

"Ariya…" Arnav Malhotra's voice followed, calm but amused.

"What are you hiding?"

"Nothing!" she replied quickly, trying not to smile.

Arnav raised an eyebrow, slowly walking toward her.

"You forget… I know when you're lying."

She turned away, but before she could escape, he gently caught her wrist and pulled her closer.

"Now tell me," he said softly, his voice low.

Ariya looked up at him, her eyes shining with mischief… and something deeper.

"Fine," she said, slowly bringing her hand forward.

In it… was a small box.

A New Surprise

Arnav frowned slightly. "What's this?"

"Open it," she said, her voice softer now.

He did.

Inside… was a simple ring.

Not expensive.

Not flashy.

But meaningful.

Ariya took a breath.

"You asked me that day… to stay with you forever," she said quietly.

"And I said yes…"

She stepped closer.

"But today… I want to ask you something too."

Arnav's expression changed—soft, surprised.

"Ariya…"

She held his hand, her voice trembling slightly—not from fear, but emotion.

"Will you promise… that no matter what happens… we'll always fight together?"

A pause.

"No secrets. No distance. No leaving."

Her eyes searched his.

"Just us. Always."

A Different Kind of Promise

Arnav didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he took the ring from the box… and gently slipped it onto her finger.

Then he looked at her—deeply, seriously.

"I already made that promise," he said softly.

"The day I chose you… not as someone to protect…"

He stepped closer.

"But as someone I can't live without."

Ariya's breath caught.

A Soft Forever

She smiled, tears forming in her eyes again—but this time, they weren't from pain.

They were from happiness.

Leaning forward, she rested her head against his chest.

"And you still say you're not romantic…" she whispered.

Arnav smirked slightly.

"Don't ruin my reputation."

She laughed softly.

And in that quiet moment—

no danger, no past, no fear—

Just two hearts that had fought through everything…

And chose each other anyway.
