Chapter 22 - Episode 22 – A New Beginning Inside Us

The house felt different these days.

Not just peaceful…

but alive.

Ariya Verma stood in front of the mirror, her hand resting gently on her stomach, her thoughts running wild.

Fear?

No.

This time… it was something else.

Something new.

Something she had never felt before.

The Quiet Realization

"Ariya?"

Arnav Malhotra's voice came from behind as he walked into the room. He stopped the moment he saw her expression.

"You've been quiet since morning," he said softly. "What's wrong?"

Ariya turned slowly, her eyes filled with emotion—not pain, not fear… but something deeper.

"I… I need to tell you something," she whispered.

Arnav's expression instantly turned serious.

"What is it?"

She took a step closer, her hands slightly trembling.

"Everything in our life… it's about to change."

A pause.

Then—

"I think… we're not alone anymore."

The Moment That Changed Everything

For a second, Arnav didn't react.

Then his eyes widened slightly.

"Ariya…"

She nodded slowly, tears forming—but this time, they were soft… warm…

"I'm pregnant." 💕

Silence filled the room.

Not heavy.

Not tense.

Just… overwhelming.

From Shock to Love

Arnav stepped back slightly, running a hand through his hair, trying to process it.

Ariya's heart tightened.

"Say something…" she whispered, a hint of nervousness returning.

Then suddenly—

He laughed softly.

Not out of disbelief…

but out of pure emotion.

Without a word, he pulled her into his arms, holding her tighter than ever before.

"You have no idea…" he murmured, his voice breaking slightly,

"how happy you just made me."

Ariya closed her eyes, relief washing over her.

"I was scared…" she admitted.

"I didn't know how you'd react…"

Arnav gently lifted her face, his eyes soft but firm.

"Scared?" he repeated.

"Ariya… you gave me a reason to protect, to love…"

His hand slowly rested over hers—on her stomach.

"And now… you've given me a reason to live even more."

A Love That Grows

That night felt different.

Quieter.

Softer.

Deeper.

Ariya rested beside him, her head on his shoulder.

"Do you think we'll be good parents?" she asked softly.

Arnav looked at her, then smiled faintly.

"We already know how to fight the world," he said.

"Now we just have to learn how to build one."

Ariya smiled, her fingers intertwining with his.

For the first time…

Their love wasn't just about survival.

It was about creating something new.

Something pure.

Something that belonged only to them.
