Seonghwah was feeling very tired as he sat in his new room in the cave that had turned out to be a posh lair of superheroes. He was thinking of his mother who had died in a cave expedition, in a place almost just like this. He—
["Hey, hand over the mic here! Who the heck are you?"
"I'm the narrator, I chronicle your story. I tell the story to the public- HEY! What are you doing with my collar?! Thats not, OH GOD! *scuffling sounds*]
Hey everyone, recognise me? I'm Enzo Silva; the coolest, most powerful and the best looking hero you will ever see. Sorry you guys and gals had to withstand his depression session for the last nine chapters, but worry not! I'm here now. So, yeah as that guy was saying; ["Let me out of this closet!". "Yeah, right!"] The new guy, Seonghwah was sitting in his new room, with the super sick furniture that I bought; and was probably thinking of his awesome luck of becoming a part of my team. But, right then, me and my homie, Kai Yamato (That cool, blue eyed guy) came into his room with snacks and frappes for the three of us! Koa also followed us into the room and I guess that good for nothing narrator didn't tell you what Koa was! So, Koa is a maned wolf, which is a really rare canine species found in my home country, Brazil. He is almost three feet tall at the shoulder, with really long legs and a very bushy tail with which he tickles me. He also has this really dense mane on his neck which is very difficult to clean on Sundays. And, oh drat! I forgot the main story and focused on the mane story!
So, where was I? Yes, the snacks. We entered the room with the snacks and the frappes and Seonghwah's eyes just widened at the sight of my excellent cooking.
"Hey! New guy! Hungry? We got you covered.", I said with my award winning smile.
"Hi! I thought you guys would be training or something.", he said.
"At night? No way!", Kai said.
"Yeah we're just that lazy"
"No, Enzo." He said, sitting next to Seonghwah on the bed; "Vaidehi forbids us to train at night because it increases cortisol levels."
"Yeah, yeah. Science stuff! Focus on the food and the company bro."
"Hey! Uh, should I just take those fries or…", asked Seonghwah who looked so nervous he might've been a new admission in a high school.
"Yeah bruh! Take it! Its for you."
As all of us started to eat and talk while Koa was stealing fries from my hands, someone knocked on the door. Mostly when you are a superhero, it's a really bad thing when someone knocks on your door at night. It means some crime was up in the city or some rich and drunk guy had accidentally reached our hideout. When I got up and opened the door, there stood my team's heart and soul; Vaidehi Srinivasan A.K.A Veera. She had a plate of sago and potato fried things that she called 'sabudana pakoras' in her hands and the sight of her stunned me. I couldn't think of anything to say and something really intelligent like, "yeah, uh huh" came out of my mouth. She smiled and brushed past me as she came into the room. The scent of her soil-after-rain scented perfume from India hit my nose.
"Hi! Seonghwah. Feeling at home, yet?", I heard her say.
I turned around and said something I later regretted, "Hey! This was supposed to be a boys' party!"
"Okay, then boys. Sorry for disturbing the party! But now you have extra snacks!", she said as she left the room. My heart sunk as she closed the door behind her.
["He is totally in love with her, I think.". "Hey, how did you get out of that closet?"
*fighting sounds* "I'm not leaving without saying the story!"]
After that and a few seconds of discomfort we started the boys' talk session.
"Sooooo, Seonghwah. What did you do before this whole superhero thing?", I asked.
"Well I was a government investigator, a few days ago."
"Oh, and what are your powers?", I asked innocently even though I had figured out that he had some fire based abilities because I had noticed a few a few burns on his hands.
"Well, I haven't really figured it out yet. But I think I can produce a touch explosive with my sweat.", he said, "kinda gross."
"Oh no! That means I am still the stro-", I tried to say but he cut me off.
"Whats that guy doing?"
I saw that Kai was lying on the bed with his mouth open and he was drooling all over the bedsheets. I tried to pass it off, "Oh freak! I forgot that he can't handle coffee."
"That doesn't sound right. Have you mix-"
"I'll just take him to his room." I said as I picked him up while trying to lighten the gravitation in the room to make his weight lesser. Why was he so buff? I mean, you can do much more with a lean and muscular physique (like me).
["hey narrator guy, take this mic. Kai is heavy!"]
And thus, our hyperactive and narcissistic hero ["looking at you, Enzo"] successfully introduced himself and Kai Yamato to Seonghwah, the newest addition to their team.
