The next morning, Zoe Rhodes was awakened by a knock on the door.
When she opened the door, she found Julian Bennett, who excitedly held up his phone—still on a call—and told her, "The police found her!"
The last dregs of Zoe's sleepiness vanished instantly. "I-I-I-I'll just wash my face and be right there!"
She quickly washed up, hastily changed her clothes, and rushed to the police station with Julian Bennett.
At eight in the morning, the police station lobby was already bustling with activity.
"Linda Sullivan!"
The moment Zoe walked in, she saw Linda Sullivan sitting in a chair.
Hearing her name, Linda looked up, a stunned expression on her face. It seemed she hadn't expected to see Zoe there.
She finally managed to force a smile.
Zoe ran over to her. "Are you okay? Why couldn't I get through to your phone? Did someone hurt you?"
Linda's eyes were still red, and she looked like she hadn't had a good rest in days.
