Simon Carson turned on his backup phone, browsed through his recent messages, and his gaze finally settled on the latest email.
Hearing footsteps, he slipped the phone back into his pocket and looked up at Director Miller, who was coming out of the master bedroom.
"How is he? Is he recovering okay?"
Director Miller smiled and took off his mask. "He's recovering quite well. While he can't return to his previous condition immediately, with daily massages and physical therapy, I estimate he'll be able to walk normally on his own in about a month at most."
"As long as he avoids strenuous exercise, there shouldn't be any problems."
"We just had a chat. His spirits seem good, and his speech is still recovering. His speaking pace is slow, but his logic and articulation are both clear."
"Yesterday, I heard the old master say that Ethan doesn't seem to remember much about what happened before the car accident. His memory..." Simon Carson asked.
