Some things happen in the heat of the moment. Once Joyce Monroe cooled down, she started acting like a player who refuses to acknowledge what just happened, dodging the subject and determinedly not mentioning what had just transpired...
"Um... Thorne... don't you want to go take care of that?" Joyce coughed, avoiding Silas Thorne's gaze.
"Mm."
Silas Thorne went into the bathroom.
Soon, the sound of running water came from inside, seemingly accompanied by a faint groan. Joyce's face burned as she listened, and she patted her cheeks. 'We were just on the sofa! How could I lose control like that!'
'Joyce Monroe, you've sunk so low!'
Silas Thorne took a shower and drank some ice water when he came out.
"Joyce," he began.
'He figured that since she wasn't against being intimate with him, maybe he could get an "I like you" out of her.'
But instead, she immediately changed the subject. "I'm hungry. What should we have for dinner?"
