Actually, she hadn't been eating regular meals for the past few days. For lunch today, she'd just bought a few buns to fill her stomach. The thought alone was enough to make her stomach start protesting.
Henry Lester's sharp gaze swept over Yara Quillan's face, making her skin crawl. Then she heard him say, "I'm hungry."
Yara Quillan opened her mouth, thinking Henry Lester was upset she hadn't gone home to cook for him. But he had already turned and was walking out. As she stood there in surprise, she heard the man say with his back to her, "What are you still standing there for?"
'The feeling of a full stomach... it's really nice.'
Yara Quillan sighed contentedly. The sky had darkened, dotted with a tapestry of stars. The restaurant lights had been turned on, and through the window, she could occasionally glimpse the unique scenery outside.
She stole a glance at her watch. The time designated by Silver Fox was drawing nearer. 'But what am I going to do about Henry Lester?'
