Sierra Sullivan had just returned to the living room when her eyes met Jayce's gaze. They looked at each other, neither saying a word.
Living underground, the room was naturally a bit chilly. But right now, as they looked at each other, they only felt the burning heat in each other's eyes, as if it could melt them. And the surrounding air seemed to grow scorching hot in this moment.
As the old saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Although the two of them had been together all this time, there were always people around during their recent trip outside. Let alone any intimacy, they hadn't even shared a single kiss or hug.
Now...
Without needing any verbal communication, they slowly approached each other, joined hands, and walked toward the bedroom. The bedroom door clicked shut, plunging the living room into total darkness. This night had only just begun, and it would be a long time before it ended.
Over the next two days, nothing eventful happened.
