The wedding planning was going just as planned without much trouble.
However, there remained a large obstacle ahead of me that I had to surmount before I could get married.
I had to visit the imperial palace.
I wasn't entirely sure how Zahid had taken care of the main-temple-busting incident, to be honest.
By the looks of him getting around without much trouble, however, it seemed like he did manage to work it out somehow.
Nevertheless, it was hard to disobey the Emperor's summons to visit the palace with me, even for our protagonist Zahid.
In fact, Zahid was quite blatantly displeased about the fact that he had to comply with the Emperor's orders.
Alas, there wasn't much that he could do about it, and it was rather a miracle for things weren't worse.
He too was aware of this, and thus followed the Emperor's orders without much fuss.
The weather on the day of our trip to the imperial palace was absolutely flawless.
