"Kai!" Fernando shouted as he watch Kai fall down to his knees and fainted.
"I knew I shouldn't have come here." He whispered, his gaze moved from Kai to Principal Wright to see that she was looking at him.
Her eyes were terrifyingly cold.
Fernando couldn't help but shiver when he saw them.
"Mister Grayson you need to choose your friends carefully." Principal Wright suddenly said.
She took her glasses off to wipe them and her eyes recovered that same teasing look.
"Or else you will end up with your family jewels damaged."
"I— yes ma'am!" Fernando immediately agreed but soon came to object to her as he said, "wait— no, Kai isn't even my friend!"
Madam Wright raised an eyebrow.
"Not a friend and yet you help him sneak so far into the school?"
"We are not friends! We just made a deal that's all..."
"And that deal was?" She questioned when a dart latched itself into her neck.
"Good distraction Fernando."
Madam Wright was stunned.
Fernando himself was shocked.
"You recovered that fast?" Madam Wright asked, her eyes drowsy but firmly trying to stay open.
"Nah." Kai who was holding his dart gun right next to Madam Wright's neck shook his head.
"There's no way I would survive such brutal pain." He answered truthfully.
"Then how are you..." before she could finish Kai responded.
"I'm schizophrenic." He replied.
Madam Wright laughed softly.
She found this situation unbelievable as her drowsy eyes finally closed and she fell towards Kai's arms.
He didn't catch her.
Instead, she fell flat on the ground as Kai went towards her opened computer and began typing.
Fernando who saw this couldn't handle it anymore.
"My school life is over!" He screamed as he dug at his hair.
The moment he saw Madam Wright he knew he was in a whole lot of trouble.
Now she's on the floor dozing off in dream world in peace.
Meanwhile all he wanted to do was wake up from this dream.
"Relax." Kai who already got all the information he needed calmed Fernando down.
"The principal won't do anything to you Ferna— god your name is long, can I just call you Fern?"
"And how do you know that?!" Fernando who didn't hear the last part screamed.
"My drug doesn't just put others to sleep, it also makes them forget the last five minutes of their life." Kai reassured.
Fernando quickly calmed down.
He chose to believe Kai even though all that happened the last 5 minutes was unbelievable to him.
He was also amazed and terrified of Kai's capabilities.
"Who did you learn to make drugs from?"
"Myself."
"Huh? You... experiment on yourself?" Shocked, Fernando asked.
"How did you get to that conclusion? I obviously used rats." Kai rolled his eyes as he took out stacks of papers from a printer and stuffed them into his bag.
"We're done?" Fernando seeing this felt relieved.
"Yeah." Kai nodded and they both took up Madam Wright and placed her in her chair.
"The two guards will wake up soon." Kai noted, his drug only put them to sleep for ten minutes.
Fernando nodded and they quickly left the school.
When they were finally out he sighed.
He quickly felt energized after.
"So you will teach me how to fight?" Excited, he asked.
"I keep my promises."
Eyes bright, Fernando nodded with a look of anticipation.
Kai noticed this and said, "tomorrow morning I will teach you how to beat those two rats up."
He smiled faintly. "I think you deserve a swig of revenge."
Fernando seeing that smile shivered. It was the first time he saw Kai smile even if it wasn't a full one.
Thinking of a wide-smiling Kai made him tremble in fright.
"It's kind of crazy that the principal can fight like that though." He swiftly chose to change the subject.
Kai's smile vanished causing Fernando to sigh in relief.
"The Hundred Family's all know a degree of martial arts." Kai replied.
"The fact she was able to date my battle-crazed father for a while makes it less surprising too."
Fernando got curious and asked, "why do they all know to fight so well anyways? Even Brandon and Tony are good fighters."
His tone contained a bit of anger at the end.
Kai picked up on that and responded.
"It's because they are all afraid of another history-erasure war happening."
"The war that happened centuries ago? That's so long ago though..."
"The only war that has been written in history in fact." Kai noted.
He continued, "It may be a long time ago but it has affected humanity's progression by a great deal."
The year 2211 war known as the History-erasure War was a mystery to everyone on the planet.
It's a war that only the Hundred Family's know of and even they only know a few details.
Only the heads of each family and a few others know what truly happened during that war.
However, from the little the public knows, that war was what established the Hundred Family's.
Some even say the effects that war did to the planet weren't in any way physical.
Instead, it was more like a supernatural occurrence as that war caused all of human history and progress to disappear.
Before the year 2211 it was rumored that humanity's technology reached insane heights.
Flying cars, fully immersive VR, etc.
Some even say humans spread their reach to the entire Milky Way galaxy.
However, that war resulted in all of that being lost.
Humanity took over three hundred years for them to progress back to the early 20th century.
"We still don't know what kind of technology could just delete history and why the Hundred Family's later erased all of it."
Personally I would think the Pack Games have something to do with it, but there's not a single other human other than me and big bro there...
"But what does the war have to do with them being able to fight?" Confused, Fernando asked.
"Who knows." Kai shrugged.
"Then why did you bring it up then..."
"I just wanted to talk about it." Kai stated honestly.
"You... whatever." Fernando sighed as a car came and stopped near him.
"Do you want a ride home?" Fernando hopped into the vehicle and asked.
"I need to clear my thoughts." Kai said with a shake of his head.
"Alright, see you tomorrow!" Fernando waved and the car drove off.
"Robert Flemings kid?" Inside the car a man questioned.
Fernando jumped when he heard this voice.
"F— Father!" He shouted in surprise.
Seeing his questioning stare he gulped.
"Yes father, that was Kai Flemings just now."
"A friend of yours?"
"N– no. We are just in the same class."
"Interesting." The man crossed his legs together before saying something that surprised Fernando even more.
"You should befriend him."
"Excuse me father?"
"No child of that man is no ordinary person."
Back on the streets Kai was on the rooftop of a rather tall building.
Due to Daredevil he could jump up to 6 feet with barely any effort.
"Still not sure whether it's because Ryker and I are sharing one body but I can jump about 12 feet now." Kai stated as he took out the papers he printed.
He looked through the first one.
"So she really is from the Lee Family?" He raised an eyebrow and sighed.
"That was a waste of time then." He said as he tore the paper to shreds.
The others were about the Maxfield's.
"So they offended the Albert Family. How brave, they are #3 on the Hundred Family's."
Even more questions appeared in his head after reading their file.
"Their greatest backer is in fact the Lee Family but they are only #20."
This case is hard to crack huh? Ryker asked.
Kai shook his head.
"No, I just need to ask those Albert kids."
Aren't they from Bright Diamonds High though how are you going to get to them?
"Who said I will go to them?" Kai rested his head on his back and closed his eyes.
"All I need to do is make them come to me."
Heh, don't tell me you somehow have dirt on them too!
"The only thing the Hundred Family's know to hide is that strange war."
Back to that actually. Do you think it has anything to do with the Pack Games?
Ryker's question got Kai to open his eyes.
"And how would that work? You're telling me the games have some crazy ability that can erase history of a race that spanned thousands of years?"
You never know! All we know about are like four cards!
Kai sighed. "Either way that's impossible. Humans aren't even in the games except us."
"And why go through the trouble of just erasing our history? Isn't that just foolish?"
"If it was me, I would just make humans go extinct the same way Officer #9373 plans to cause the extinction of the Quadramons if humans were a troublesome species to deal with."
You have a point... so when are we going to join our second game?!
"Not today." Kai stated as a matter of fact as he got into a better position to sleep.
You're sleeping here?
"Where else? I won't get any sleep with those two at home."
Oh right, well see you tomorrow. Ryker realized this and closed off his subconscious to get some rest as well.
"See you tomorrow big bro."
